We're looking for a safe town with good schools. Somewhere we could purchase a 4 bedroom/2 bath home for under 200,000.

Can anyone suggest some towns for us to look at?

Thank you in advance!!

I know nothing about this topic but I thought I would bump this back to page one for you.

We are in Winter Haven - 35 miles from WDW. You can get a very nice house for under $200,000 - way under.

Poinciana is a bit "closer" to WDW than Winterhaven and still retains reasonably priced homes.

Where do you plan to work? That could be quite a decisive factor in where you choose to live.

North of Orlando are some relatively nice areas, also.

Do you want to purchase a re-sale home, or a newly built one?

There are several new housing developments on Rt27 in Polk County near the Orange county line (near the area known as the four corners, where Polk, Orange, Lake and Osceola counties "touch."

Schools? Good luck.
