Sorry...the search engine dog seems to be caught in an endless loop.

Anyway..... I'm looking for a room for one night only prior to an early morning flight out of Orlando. Doesn't have to be anything elaborate. Clean, a pool and "something" to eat. An airport shuttle would be a bonus in that I could return my car a day earlier (or perhaps it's just simpler and safer to return the car the morning of the flight???).
The idea is to make the drive from Vero the afternoon/evening prior and have a nice easy travel day without the driving. The Hyatt at the airport is about $200 and is super convenient but I was hoping to spend less (I'll be spending plenty elsewhere).

Thanks in advance.

there are several

good look on
'www.betterbidding.com' - look at her lists.

there are Marriotts, Hilton, Best Western, etc

I use Priceline and generally get a 3 1/2* or 3 * for around $50. Look at www.biddingfortravel.com to check out recent wins. You can read the FAQ to learn about free rebids, which is using areas that only have hotels listed at lower star levels than you are bidding for additional bids if your initial price is not accepted.

I have often won the Marriott just a short shuttle ride from the airport.

Exactly. Historically, you can almost always get a MCO-area room at a nice place for cheap via priceline. It takes a bit of time to learn how to use priceline, but it's not really that hard. One issue is that you probably won't get your priceline room until a few days before you leave; and there is always a chance of not getting a cheap room. So be sure to have a fully refundable reservation as a backup.

Note that while there is a ton (TON!) of good info on biddingfortravel.com it's personality is a bit intimidating. If you've got questions, you can always ask here instead.

We like the Hyatt at MCO. Can't get much closer to the airport than that!

This thread is not DVC specific and I am moving it over to our Orlando Hotels board where you should find some more input. Thanks!
