Can someone please help me out with figuring out what to bring December 13-20? How is the weather during December?
Thanks SO much!!!

I haven't been on DCL during that time. I've researched the average temps, etc. and read posts from others. It's actually unpredictable. It won't get freezing, but can get pretty cool at night. My SIL who went during that time had to buy sweatshirts b/c they hadn't planned on coolness. She also ran into very rough seas and they couldn't dock at Castaway Cay. Then another time she went, everything was fine. Bring clothes for warm weather, but a few items to layer if it gets cold/rainy. Don't double pack (set of cold/warm clothes for each day) just bring some pants, jackets to use just in case. That's what we plan to do.
Nassau Bahamas Average High for December: 78 F
Average low: 66, Warmest ever 86, Coldest ever 48, average dew point: 64, average precipitation: 1.7 inches.

Maybe others who have been there can help more. (We'll be there right before you...)

We traveled during that time frame last year and the weather was great! I remember the sail away being very chilly and misty w/everyone in jeans and jackets. Once further out, it warmed up and stayed that way in St M, St T, CC with great summer like temps, everyone wearing shorts. The water was a little cool, but doable once in. It really added to the spirit to leave cold Md. winter for the warm Caribbean and all the ships beautiful Christmas decorations. Always a good idea to have a sweatshirt for those nightly deck strolls. :sunny:

I think that Dave's site or one of his postings had info on the temps for next year's 10 day cruise. Try the thread for Xmas 2004
Hope this helps.

We have cruised at that time (give or take a week) for the past two years and the weather is perfect! It is my favorite time to cruise, the weather back home is cold and snowy and the ship is just beautiful. Last year at cape canaveral it was chilly prob. in the 60's or so.. of course to us who left a blizzard and 22 degrees back here in MA. it was warm. As soon as the ship left port though it went into the 80's-now that was the western, the year before was the eastern which we are going on this year. I remember being amazed that even at 10pm I could stand on the veranda in a tank top and shorts and be warm. the weather was a constant in the 80's but understand the sun is much stronger in the caribbean and 80 degrees there is much warmer than here. We never needed the sweat pants, jackets etc . we packed. Left them home after the first trip.

THANKS so much to everyone who posted! I appreciate all your time!!! These boards are so great!!:D

The USA Today has some cool info about hundreds of towns average and record highs and lows. I have also done some successful searches for water temps. We are sailing the Western Cruise in January and it looks like we will be looking at highs in the low 80's/high 70's and water temps about the same for Coz and Cayman and a little cooler at CC and alittle cooler still in Key West.
