December Weather

Is it warm enough to swim late November/early December?
We always travel in November or December and have used the pool on every trip - even at night some years. The pools are heated and despite the fact that some have reported very cold temps we've been very lucky with the weather - 70s & 80s during the day and sometimes at night too.

That's awesome! We have only ever gone in October, and wasn't sure how quickly Orlando cools off for the winter months! Thanks

We had great weather when we went the first week of Dec. last year. However, I have been the same week in past years and have had to wear a sweatshirt and pants during the day. One year it was definitely in the low 30s in the evening. We played mini golf with gloves on and i remember speaking to friends at home in NY and they had higher temps! I think you'll really have to wait and see what they are forecasting, but there is definitely a good chance you'll be able to swim.

It can go either way. Last time we went in December we were soooo hot. Just melting. But in past trips, I have pictures of myself wearing jeans and long-sleeve shirts. Evening can definitely get chilly. More than likely you will be able to swim though during the day!

I live in SW FL. Every year, everyday the weather is different. Sometimes high in the 80's and sometimes low in the 30's. You cannot predict what it will be this coming December. You can say the averages will probably be 50-70 during the day and on the lower end at night. Can you swim, that's up to you. I own a heated pool and don't but the rest of my family always did. We've gone to Disney during the winter months and my family swam at night in the pools, I did not.

Our last trip was the first 10 days of December 2013. We had fantastic weather. It was in the mid/upper 70s to low/mid 80s the entire time we were there and we swam a lot!

I would hope one could swim at least one day during a week-long trip during that time of year but you never know!

A lot of the weather websites list historical data. Look at the past few years and see if that helps!

Agreed. The first trip, we had to buy sweatshirts and socks. The second trip, we were in shorts, and the pool, every single day.
