December UY vs. other times of the year

I know this is discussed somewhere on here but I have looked for a few days and haven't read anything that answers my question. We are discussing buying DVC re-sale and are not sure what UY we should be looking for. We usually go in December. Should we strongly consider December UY's or does it really matter? We would occasionally go at different times of the year but not as often as December. TIA!!! Sorry it's a re-post from someone else.

When would you never go? The most important function of a good use year is the ability to still bank your points without letting them expire if you have to cancel your trip. If you would never go in Aug-Nov, then December would be a good choice.
