December trip

We are planning our first trip to DW in the beginning of December. To those experienced DW travellers - is it warm enough to make use of the water parks in Dec. or is our time/money better spent elsewhere?

We have never used them because only one is open at that time (and I think they change which one each year) and the CM's told us that the water is so cold if they have cold nights that it is unbearable!

Melissa is correct. Usual one of the two is closed for rehab at that time of year and they do switch for year to year. It is really just hit or miss when your there. One time we were able to do a water park and than the next vist at the same time of year we were wearing sweatshirts and gloves in the middle of the day.
You just never really can tell.
Of course, if your from a very northern area, like upper Canada, than any weather is going to be nice.

I've never been in Dec., so can't speak for the weather, although, others reported this past year was quite warm.

I just want to add... A CM once told me - if you plan to visit a water park only once, it is cheaper to buy a seperate admission. If visiting 2 or more times, it is cheaper to add the Water Parks and more option, to your MYW ticket.

Also, you can upgrade your ticket after arriving. This would allow you to be more certain of the weather.

Not sure where you are staying but I think you are better off swimming in the hotel pool. Been there twice in December and the weather was different. We stayed at BC and we jumped between the pool and hot tub. It was fun though!

This past first week of Dec was great weather, but at times in Dec in could be chile.

Thanks very much to all of you! Great idea about waiting to upgrade once we are there. This will really help with out planning.

Wonder if I might ask another question, I've noticed when reading these boards that sometimes it reads "bump", can anyone tell me what this means?

a bump will just get the thread back to the top of the page so more folks can read it. If not, it will keep getting lower on the page until it goes to page 2 (where it is less likely to bee seen) or until it gets a "bump".

Thanks! It sure takes some time to figure out what it what sometimes, but everyone is so helpful that it I'm sure I'll be a pro in no time at all! LOL!
