I have heard that the first two weeks of December are very quiet in Disney World. Can anyone share personal experiences of traveling to Disney during the first two weeks of Dec.? Are crowd levels really that low?

Also, what is "Pop Warner Event"? Someone also said that this is the only thing that could get in the way of low crowds in December. Is it a convention or something? When does it happen?

Thanks! :flower:

We have been 4 straight years during Pop week which is usually the 2nd full week in Dec.....Pop is little league mostly pre-teens football and cheerleading championships....They are for the most part decent but there is always that bad apple in the bunch that gives them all a bad name....BUT that goes for any group at any time of the year...As far as crowd impact its nothing major most of there time is at Wide World of Sports...You will occassionally see a group of Footballers or Cheerleaders in the park....but its nothing....our biggest wait ever was 25 minutes for TT....5-15 mins is the norm and if you plan right and adjust 5 mins will be a long wait....only impact you will see is at MGM on that friday as it closes early and has a gathering of the POP people but alot of them like to get a head start....Also we stay always at the All star where Pop stays and have never had a problem....We just ask for a quiet room and we get it the food court stays busy...Any other questions I will be glad to help....

Best time of the year for me. Christmas decorations are up and the crowds are low. A 15 - 30 minute wait was the maximum we experienced except for maybe Test Track but we just got fastpasses for that, problem solved.

I was there POP Warner week last year and did not have any problems but was staying offsite . I believe they normally stay in the Value resorts at Disney eg All Stars and Pop Century and some in Port Orleans, I would maybe not want to stay in these particular resorts as lots of teenagers together = NOISE!!

You really have picked an excellent time of year to visit the World :earsboy:
