I KNOW this question is asked and discussed EVERYWHERE..but I had to get this question off my chest and you guys are the BEST group EVER to help me.

We are booked for WDW December 2-12 2007. The first 5 days staying at POFQ and the last 5 at GF. As all of us who are planning to got at that time know Popwarner will be there Dec 1-9. After reading HORRIBLE experiences disers in the past have had I decided to try to move our trip to start on the 8th. Here's my issue with that......

1. We already have our MVMCP tickets for December 9th and the whole point of me getting tickets for this day was because we would be staying at GF so we could just hop on the Monorail when it was over. If we change our dates this is null and void and we will have to go via bus to POFQ.

2. I'm also reading alot that many people did not have issues with the kids. Should we risk it and just go as planned?? Not let any teenagers dictate when we go to WDW?

I'm confused and I need your help!! Thanks so much!

I was under the impression that most of the Pop Warner group stays at Pop and the All Stars?? Maybe some of them are at PO, but I would not worry about them taking over the whole resort. I would keep my plans if it were me. We have been the first week of December a couple of times, stayed off-site once and WL once, and we never even knew any special event was going on:confused3 !
I can see avoiding Pop and All Stars based on the threads about Pop Warner though.........

it's not worth the hassle to change your plans. the POP Warner crowd will be involved with the event during the daytime, so you'll be fine. the biggest issue is the kids at the resorts. breakfast will be a nightmare at the cafeteria and park rides, specifically at MK, will be a little more crowded than usual. the good thing about this is that it's a non-peak season so the crowds are not already heavy on top of the event being scheduled there. it's your choice, but i personally wouldn't go through the hassle of rescheduling.

that being said, i never go during the first week of december just in case it really does get that bad....:rotfl:

keep the time you have!!! I have been there so many times at the sametime, and I have NEVER even seen them! you are not staying at the same resorts....so go, the time you planned! It will not make that much of an impact!

We were there during the cheerleading competition one year and we didn't even know the kids were there until we got on our plane to go home and our neighboring school's team was on our plane. No worries... we'll see you there from the 8th- 10th

It's a non-issue. I've been there about 3 times with the PopWarner kids. I actually stayed at the AllStarMusic with them. Yes, they were loud and rambunctious. But that was at the resort. I found them to be pretty well behaved on the whole. The buses could get a bit loud though.
The kids are in competitions during the day, but hit the parks at night. But, it hasn't been a huge deal for me. I've hardly noticed them in the parks. I think I remember MGM closing early on one Sat night in order for the kids to have a private party, but that's the only big impact they had at the time.
I'll be there again with them in Dec....I arrive on the 6th, but I'm not concerned about it.

We have been there once during Pop Warner. There were no problems at all. I would just keep your plans as they are.

Thank you all so much for your replies. You have put me at ease. I really want to keep my dates!! Now I will go on with dinner plans. It's our first time on the DDP.

Thanks !!!

We were there last year during Pop Warner and we did have some issues with kids, we however, DID NOT see any of them at the MVMCP. I think you should be fine with keeping your date.

Keep your plans!!! You may see some of the kids while you are staying at POFQ (they spill over from the values), but you will be hard pressed to have them ruining your time at the GF.

The groups were barely noticable in the parks. The only place I really saw them in large groups was at MGM.

Have a great trip! No worries.

I agree with the other posters. We went a few years back during Pop Warner week - and did not have any problems with them. In fact, I think I only noticed them once or twice the entire week.

I would keep my plans the same as they already are.
