ok so we are busting to get back but just cant work out when to go or how to plan

dh is busy at work at the moment so going to be hard to get time off but hes always off at xmas as his work is shut anyway.

so just wondering what sort of flight prices are average over the holiday season , the hotel prices seem quite abit higher .

my main concern is the weather we all love the water parks and pool time so would feel a holiday incomplete if we couldnt enjoy some time here

we then want to get out and see some more of florida again no idea where , our route last year was perfect and we loved all the places we went but did feel pushed for time at them all .So do we do the same route again varied slightly with different excursions and more time enjoying each place or go for the new and try new places we may love just as much??

we will definatley have a 2night minimum stay in miami as we saw none of what we planned there

is the coast weather going to be similar to orlando weather ?

oh and we want a cruise add on this trip aswell

last trip we looked in to buying dvc and were very interested and almost certain will purchase on this next trip , but will it be better to buy now from uk before booking another trip or to be there and sit down and buy it whilst on the holiday ??

Flight prices are high from around 15 December to Xmas Eve. Hotel prices are at there highest for the two weeks over Xmas and crowds are also at there max making both parks and roads busy.

Weather wise December is too cool generally for me to venture into the pool and water parks would certainly be out as me & DD would spend all day shivering.

It can be nice but generally mid 70s is about as hot as it gets but it can also be very cold - we have had a couple of December days were it has been coats and gloves weather!

First time we went was December and we loved it so much that we make it a point to go around this time. Disney just looks lovely with the decorations up and crowds are light up until the week before Christmas. I don't think we can do the 2 weeks over the holidays though as everything's expensive and crowds are insane!

Weather was a bit unpredictable last time we went, chilly some days and warm and nice on the others. We were able to do the water parks as the pools are heated but cold when you get out! Was still fun though.

Flight prices are hovering around £550 if before 15 Dec which I think is reasonable. :)

Christmas Day and NYE are unpopular flight days so you can get some decent deals sometimes on those days at least.

Week before and after Xmas is insanely busy. Can be done if you get up early a lot. Or expect to do less. Parks often open 7am Xmas week and are empty really till 9am.

Weather is highly variable. Too cold for me to swim but our children swam several times in December. We also wore coats, hats and gloves for 4 days at this time of year. And shorts. And jeans. You get my gist!!!!

Food prices go up at TS places.

ok lots to think about then, im not sure i feel i have had a proper holiday without a good dose of sun , will the destinations you visit on any of the disney cruises have nicer weather

so the extended road trip/cruise disney holiday at this time of year is probably not going to work

i like the idea of seeing the decorations and think it would be nice to hit the parks with no plans or expectations and just enjoy the decorations and atmosphere.

think i will suggest to dh a 7-10 night onsite only break
