December trip dilema

We currently have reservations for kidani village, savannah view for December 5th -10th always with the intention of changing to the tree house villas at the 7 month mark. Now that that date has arrived, we are having second thoughts of changing. We have never stayed at either resort(but have at jambo house) nor, during the month of december with the xmas decorations up. Are there any decorations up for the tree house villas? Or is this a no brainer and stick with Kidani to get the full effect of the xmas atmosphere? Transportation( buses),walking,location etc. are not an issue.

Tree house villas are part of SSR, so the holiday decor would be whatever is at The SSR lobby for check in.

We stayed at Kidani and SSR last year.

We did THV pre cruise and Kidani post cruise... I was hoping from alot from THV and was mildly disappointed. It just seemed like a trek from anywhere. SSR is big enough anyway, then you add the distance from your TH and you feel so far away.

DVC budgets the minimum for holiday decorations so the stand alone DVC resorts don't really offer much. The best decorated resorts are the Deluxe resorts and you can enjoy them if you are staying at the attached DVC villa.
