December tips...

I am heading to WDW for 2 days in December. I am spending one day at the parks and the Mickey Christmas Party and the other day I want to spend viewing the decorations at the resorts...what are the best resorts to tour?

This December will be my first "Christmas" trip to WDW and I, too, am anxious to enjoy the holiday decorations. I would think that the Wilderness Lodge will be spactacular in it's decorrations. I hope I'm not disappointed!

all of the monorail resorts....wilderness lodge, boardwalk and animal kingdom lodge are our favorites....i think the poly is the least decorated but still nice to visit and get a drink....

....Hit the Wilderness....you won't be disappointed. Try a meal at the Whispering Canyon Cafe while you're there.....
.... Have lots of laughs...and make lots of memories.....!!!

We too are going to tour the deluxe resorts to see the decorations. We are going to do all the resorts on the monorail loop, plus catch the boat across to WL at the same time. Then check out the Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach club. Plus we will check out the AKL when we go to the AK. Having seen the pictures I think they are all worth a visit.

We will be there Dec 1 & 2 and then going on the Magic cruise on Dec 3rd. We plan on attending MVMCP on Dec 1. What we thought might be fun would be to park at one of the parks (EPCOT) hop on the monorail (shoot for the front cab) and ride the monorail to the Contemporary walk around view the decorations find something to eat and then on to the next hotel. Since we never take the time to go to all the different resorts we thought that might be fun, also we could hop on the bus and ride that around. Let's see how many we can visit!

They are all terrific. This is what my dd and I did when we were there....went to MK...walked over to CR, checked it out, got the boat to WL, then back to the CR, onto the monorail...to Polynesian, then GF, then back to MK. Took the bus to BW....toured BW, YC/BC, then hopped the bus to AK, then switched to AKL bus. Then back to AK and a bus back to my resort. It worked out quite well....I may do the exact same thing, by myself, in two weeks!!!

Don't skip the Wilderness Lodge! It is beautifully decorated at Christmastime. The AKL is nice also, it has a very unusual tree. We stayed at Boardwalk for the holidays last year, and enjoyed their decorations. The Grand Floridian is impressive too.

Since you are heading to the parks also I recommend that you go to Epcot after dark to see the lighted archway (not sure of the exact name, sorry) that leads from the big fountain to the Christmas tree. It lights up in different patterns and music plays. Plus, the holidays illuminations is spectacular.

We're heading to WDW for two days too and didn't even think of checking out all the resorts for decorations! And that's why we're going at that time of year! Thanks for the idea. We are going to try to do all four parks in one day since there's an early opening and late closing. Our kids are 17 and 15 so we need to do something different! I'm trying to plan it to work out by getting to AK at 7am and MGM for dinner at the Sci Fi with the other parks in between, but it's MGM that's open till 1am or so. I hope everything falls into place. We're wondering who will start whining first!
