December Surprise and I do mean Surprise

Thanks Michelle, I've seen a few of your posts and also had the impression that we think alike. I enjoy hearing everyones views on their vacation and can totally relate to all the different styles. BK (before kids) we were very spontaneous, but now, we pretty much have to book our vacations out 2 years in advance just to make sure we keep that time open. I love our life and wouldn't trade it for anything, but vacation time is definitely becoming precious to us, especially as the kids get older.

I love love love Song airlines. The tv's in the headrest make it so comfortable to fly with the kids. Our flight time is just under 3 hours, but it goes by so fast now.

My DS currently skates at the intermediate level and just recently took up ice dancing with a friend of his. They'll be starting out at the juvenile level. He did make it to the 2004 junior nationals as a single, so that was pretty exciting for him. This year, he and his partner will be competing for the first time in Lake Placid and that's in August. After that, there are local regional competitions in October. Because there aren't that many dance teams at this level, there is a chance that they'll be going to Colorado for junior nationals in November. That's why we're setting aside all our extra money for this year, just in case.

Wow! That is so exciting! I love ice dancing too. I think that if I ever was to go back and be a skater, that would be the type I would choose! I always wanted my kids to skate, but they have my awful balance on the ice LOL. I will keep an eye out for him in the future...I saw a picture you had up of him once. :cheer2:
