we are planning a trip for december two separate 5 night ressies starting on sunday each time. we need a two br each week. we would like to get into bwv one week and ssr the other week. my question is which will be easier to book on the 10th of dec and which will be easier to book on the 17th of dec?

I doubt either week would be available at this point for the 3 smaller resorts. If not, you have the wait list variations to decide upon. How many points you have and how set you are on certain resorts should help determine the best course. Your likely best option is to book two weeks at SSR and/or OKW then wait list for the other resorts you'd prefer. You'll have to decide how to do the wait list as there are many variations. For most, wait listing for the entire chunk of 5 days if the best option though it is definitely not the most likely option to be successful. Good luck.

You might be too late for both at this point, but give it a try and maybe get on a waitlist. SSR should come through first because it's larger.

I forgot to mention that it will be easier to get the weekends than the week days. SSR and OKW are your best bets, as Dean said, but there might be some days not available in the whole time chunk.

I called yesterday to book our trip from December 6-10 and all that was available was SSR and OKW. I asked about dates the weeks prior to and following those dates at WLV, BCV, and BWV and still nothing except a few scattered weekdays. I was really disappointed because we have stayed at the WLV on our previous trips and really wanted to stay there when it was decorated for Christmas. Also, I love the close proximity to MK with my 3 small children. But, oh well, SSR here we come!(OKW just does not seem Christmassy at all to me)

LOL, it is just as "Christmassy" as anyplace else in Florida can be in December! :teeth: We actually love the OKW Christmas theme, because there are so many poinsiettias around, it is just beautiful! We also like how lots of folks (we included) decorate the balconies with lights. It has a special neighborhood Christmas feel. Lots of room in that huge living room for a nice tree and holiday party too.

Agree completely!!
:santa: Our tree and lights will be going up 12/24 in 2BR and studio at OKW- Have one rolling duffle just for the decorations ready to go in the attic.:santa:

OK, I stand corrected. I have never stayed at OKW, or anywhere else at WDW at Christmastime, so I don't know how the resorts look then. I was just trying to imagine and go by pictures I had seen. From your descriptions, OKW sounds great at Christmas, as I'm sure everywhere at WDW will be. By the way, I live in a Southern coastal (ie.beach)town which is beautiful at Christmas, so why wouldn't a Key West themed resort be? Thanks for correcting me on this.

I do not think you needed to be corrected-at all, I totally agree with you and we have been at WDW many times at Christmas. There are some resorts that are more decorated for Christmas and have more of the Christmas feel, that other resorts do. WL and VWL are decorated beautifully for Christmas and have a wonderful Christmas feel to them. GF, AKL, BW/BWV, YC/BC/BCV all are also decorated very nicely for Christmas and have the Christmas feel to them. OKW, Poly, the moderate and value resorts are decorated for Christmas but not to the extent the other resorts are with gingerbread villages, huge christmas trees etc. They do not have the same Christmas feel as some other resorts do.
I can not speak for SSR because we have not been there during the Christmas season yet.

well our plans changed a little, we are now doing 10 straight nights broken up in half between two resorts, at first we ressed ssr for 5 nights, then vwl for 5 nights, waitlisted for bwv and bcv, got a call from dvc thursday, and called back friday, and our bcv res came through for dec 17-22. :sunny: which is cool because we had already stayed at the vwl once before and we wanted to try out others. now we are on wait list for bwv dec 12-17, if that comes through or not it will be okay since we have never stayed at either resort.
