December reservations

I was wondering what you think my chances were of getting a 1 bedroom for 3-4 nights in December if I am open about my dates

I think there are waitlists for most December dates, but if you are open to any December dates and any WDW DVC resort, you have a chance.

I think the best chance would be during the second or third week of December at SSR, OKW or BWV-PV (Pool/Garden). The first week is booked solid and the last week is Christmas week. The resorts listed are the largest.

Bottom Line - you really never know until you call and if you are willing to waitlist, your chances increase. Good luck

Carol provided solid advice. Be completely flexible to any on-site DVC resort and you might have a chance. Typically, the weeks between Thanksgiving and the end of the year really need to be booked right at the 11 month window to have a good chance of snagging a room.

It can't hurt to try, but I can't say that your chances are great. Here's hoping that something is available for you.

That's great news!

After I posted my response, I got to wondering if AKV might have availability because they weren't taking reservations at the 11 month window, or even the 7 month window for that time. So I was wondering if many members had thought about AKV for the holidays.

Sounds like you slipped in there and got your reservation. That's great, and might provide hope to others in a similar situation.
