December pre-trip and trip reports!!

15 days and counting. Son's Eagle Scout Ceremony is this weekend (a mom couldn't be any prouder)
Tell your son Congrats! from a fellow Eagle. I almost remember back that long ago.

Have a great time at the Fort. I've never been over Christmas/New Years, but it sounds like it will be amazing.

We are so excited, four more days!! Looking forward to seeing all the decorations. We are planning on leaving out early Tuesday. We should arrive around 1:00 that afternoon. The plan is to get our site set up, get the golf cart, get groceries, and go looping that night. We are planning on enjoying time at the Fort, checking out the decorations at the other resorts, and just relaxing! We have a couple of lunch reservations later in the week. Oh, and we want to spend some time at Disney Springs.

15 days and counting. Son's Eagle Scout Ceremony is this weekend (a mom couldn't be any prouder), then Christmas with my family on the 20th, our Christmas at home on the 25th and Christmas with the inlaws on the 26th. With all this activity the next two weeks should fly by.

Nan P, thanks for the decoration update. Glad to know there will still be some nice ones when we are there.

As an Eagle myself and dad of 2 more, tell sonny boy Congrats from me too. Bama Ed

Two weeks from today we will be checking in. Hope to be able to check in early, since we have to make two trips, one with TT and one with golf cart. Can not wait till we can trade in our truck for a bigger one so the cart will fit in the bed and we only have to make one trip. DH has been looking, but it's hard to find a long bed that he likes. Waiting for the new Titan Diesel to come out 12/23, that's what he has his eye on.

Got my packing/shopping list printed and plan to stock the trailer next weekend with all the essentials. Still trying to decide what and how many Christmas decorations I want to take with me since we will be there the week after Christmas, not sure how much decorating to do.

Tltay2005, congratulations to your son on his wonderful achievement. Great picture. Happy packing, and we will see you at the Fort in 16 days.

Ok, I am going to try to post a picture of our motorhome. At the fort Dec 5 to Dec 12. If it works, if it works, a variety will follow. Guess ya gotta click the thumbnail. It was the only way I knew how to put them up.

Here's some from 1200, 1300, 1600, 1900 loops. Decorations were awesome. We were in 600 and had fun. 1200, 1300 and 1600 said they would be checking out Jan 2, 2016.IMG_0673.jpgIMG_0672.jpgIMG_0871.JPGIMG_0870.JPGIMG_0901.jpgIMG_0902.jpgIMG_0900.jpgIMG_0898.jpgIMG_0874.JPG

Ed and I would post pics of our ceremonies, but they hadn't invented cameras yet. :-)

He may not appreciate it now, but this is something pretty special that he will carry with him the rest of his life. Everyday, there is something I do that I learned in Scouts. And at least monthly, some casual conversation comes up that I talk to someone else that is an Eagle.

Teambr & Bama Ed, thank you so much. I just had to brag, it's such a great accomplishment!

Congratulations on your son earning his Eagle Scout. When I was coaching high school football, one of my offensive linemen earned his Eagle Scout and he asked me to attend his ceremony. I was honored to say the least to witness this event. It is truly a great accomplishment. Congratulations to your son and to you and his father.

We are not going to visit the parks when we stay at the Fort in a couple of weeks, so we made a quick trip over to Epcot this weekend to see the Candlelight processional and Illuminations. Both were amazing as always, leaving the parking lot at the end of the night, not so much, lol.

We arrived yesterday and are getting settled into site 422. Two and a half days of driving can really tire an old camper out.
Weather is beautiful. Yesterday we went Magic Kingdom, rode BTMRR , POTC, and the Tiki Room.
This morning we went to DHS and rode RNRC, ToT, the Launch ? ( new Star Wars area), and the Great Movie Ride.
Have been to Wal Mart and Costco for provisions.
This evening we have FP+ for Magic Kingdom.

I have friends staying at the Contemporary next week. She wanted to stay at the Fort but he wanted to stay closer to MK. I helped her plan the trip since they have never been to Disney and they are doing a light Epoct day then renting a cart and touring the Fort with a Trails End dinner, looping, and staying for the sing along.

I have site #710 on the must see sight list but what other sites are "not to miss" sites? What site has the lady with the walk through blow ups galore?

IMAG2007.jpg We are having a great time! To be relaxing, we are staying pretty busy. I plan on doing a full trip report when we get home, but I wanted to go ahead and post some pictures here and there. We are in site 1501 and are very pleased with it. We cannot believe how warm it is, daytime around 85, nighttime around 74-75. [GALLERY=][/GALLERY]
