December pre-trip and trip reports!!

Finally sat down last night and got my agenda planned. Since we are Fl resident pass holders, the dates (12/27-12/31) we will be staying are black out dates, so we will not be going to any of the parks. Plans are to visit the resorts to look at all the Christmas decorations, play putt putt golf, visit Disney Springs and just hang out at the camp grounds. We love to rent canoes and to fish, so hopefully the weather will be nice for that. Got the cart all decorated, so it's ready to do some "looping" and enjoy any Christmas decorations that may still be up. Did make lunch ressies at Whispering Pines and a breakfast ressie for Trails End, other than that we will be cooking at camp or grabbing quick service at the resorts while visiting. Took a look at the movie schedule, and there is none that I haven't seen or any that I care to see again, so maybe a wagon/hay ride will replace my movie night.

We will be arriving December 15th. I would like to view the movie schedule. Where do I need to look for it? Thanks!

We arrived safely at the fort around 1:15pm. "Kinda" settled in to site 314 lol. We still have a little more work to do with decorations tomorrow. When we checked in there was no line at all, and didn't really have any problems getting the camper on the site. Tomorrow is not a park day for us so we should be all settled in by tomorrow PM, and I can get some pics up.

Scooby2002, happy you made it safe, and are somewhat settled. Setting up, arranging, rearranging takes time! I like that you did not have much of a line at all to check in. i wonder we will be that lucky in the 29th??!! Anxious to see your pictures and trip reports. Enjoy your time.

I think I posted that picture right. I'm having some difficulty trying to figure it out lol. Today we got everything else set up and the golf cart decorated. Tomorrow will be the first day in the parks and off to magic kingdom we go. I did manage to squeze some time in at the outlets this morning while he stayed behind and put up lights. :)

:santa: LOL! Susan you got the spirit. You fit right in. Glad you made it.

:santa::santa::santa:The countdown is near the end. DH and I will leave on Friday morning to drive to the Fort. Thirty hours of driving is all worth it when we drive under those welcome arches and are welcomed home to FW.
Our three children will arrive the next weekend via airplane after finishing exams and classes. Christmas dinner with my family and the in-laws will be enjoyed over this weekend. Christmas camping supplies have been packed in Rubbermaid totes and on Thursday we will fill the Traverse a la Beverly Hillbillies.
Just three more 12 hour shifts to complete and next week this time we should be looking forward to spending the night in our own bed in the RV.

Thanks so much for the movie schedule.

DH got the new stabilizing jacks installed, one less thing to worry about, so the TT is ready to roll. I tested out our cart decorations with a ride around the neighborhood last night and few other neighbors joined in and we had a small cart parade :earboy2:. Really am hoping a few sites are still decorated for the week after Christmas. I plan to bring a few.

If history is any indication, there will be plenty of decorations up after Christmas.

Having a quiet visit to the Fort. Got in Dec 5, dinner at Californis grill and did the Candlelight Processional dinner pkg. Tuesday. Found a few loops to check out. Super great 1300 large display with truck and cab decorated and 1600 huge walk though that looks like it's on a double site. Both of these will be there til January 2. Will post pics Saturday when I get home ..

Thanks Nan. Sounds like fun.

PS - hey is that a new avatar picture for you?

Ed, re avatar... Yes new pic. That's the new puppy Abby with her graduation cap (puppy classes). Lol

I wonder if this is the same lady from last November who had the massive inflatable display that was getting in so much trouble with the Fort reps due to the massive expanse and complaints from the other campers. She was in the 1600 loop. A travel agent if I recall correctly. Lady behind her (sharing the decorations) was in a blue RV if I recall.

15 days and counting. Son's Eagle Scout Ceremony is this weekend (a mom couldn't be any prouder), then Christmas with my family on the 20th, our Christmas at home on the 25th and Christmas with the inlaws on the 26th. With all this activity the next two weeks should fly by.

Nan P, thanks for the decoration update. Glad to know there will still be some nice ones when we are there.
