December/January Pool Temperature

Hi, all! Does anybody know if the outdoor pools in December/January would be warm enough for a 2 1/2 year old to swim and play? Do you know if the answer depends on the resort, i.e., are some pools heated but not others? We have always stayed at the Grand Flordian in the past (but never in December/January) but I realize that resort is not particularly catered to kids, so I thought that maybe another resort would be better if we want to be able to swim during that time of year.

Thanks!

When we were there in November we were told that the pools are at a constants 82 degrees. It was really chilly the week we were there and my kids still swam. It was hard to get out but when you were in the water it was warm and great.

When we stayed at SSR 3 years ago my kids went swimming and it was Dec. I don't think it was that bad.

I beleive that all the pools are heated. It would just be the trip back to your room wet that would be a little chilly. Have a great trip!

It depends... all the pools ARE heated. But I have been to WDW in DEc when it was hot and we were swimming, and I have been when we were in winter coats and gloves.I would not be getting in any pool in cold weather regardless of how heated it is.You have to get out of that pool eventually:)
