DECEMBER is Crazy!

Well I have been calling every day for a week (Per Many of your Suggestions)
And It Paid off!

I called this AM right when MS opened. And I got my first 3 nights at Boardwalk!
Which is one of the places I wanted!
So Now I am only Wait Listing the last night!

I am So Excited - I can barely stand it..... This is AMAZING!

Thanks for all the advice... Calling Does Pay off!

Disney In December - Here I Come!

WOW....I'm very excited for you, congrats! AND WELCOME HOME!

At the same time, I can't help but wonder how those that have possibly been on the WAITLIST for several months feel (studio BWV). Please take NO OFFENSE to this, as it has nothing to do with anything you have done. I'm just really for the first time starting to wonder if the NEW WAITLIST has some serious flaws.

You know I have to agree with you about the Waitlist.
I really think there has to be some flaws in the system.

I have called everyday at the 9am start and every morning there are rooms available and I now have all my days. WOW.

But even though I was on the waitlist at what point do they pull rooms and assign rooms to peoples waitlists? Obviously for me the wait list wasn't filled since I was able to do it on my own. But If I was able to do it on my own - then why wasn't the waitlist fulfilled?

I mean do they just see if rooms are left at the end of each night... Or what.
There have to be tons of thousands of waitlists out there and it boggles the mind to think why aren't their requests filled if at every morning rooms seem to always be available?

To fulfill the waitlist, all days must be availabe. You did it days at a time. I've just let my waitlists stand and have gotten them.

For a trip from 9/28 to 10/5, I initially had a studio at BCV and wanted a 1 br.
While I had a waitlist, what I did was start calling like 3-4 times a day and seeing what was available and tried to work it backwards. first I got a 1bd for the last two nights, then the two nights before that, and finally got the last four nights yesterday. Now I knew that each time I modified the ressies, I was also modifiying the wait list and going to the back of the line, but my thought was that 1) a full week waitlist during the first week of F&W was unlikely to come through, and 2) each time I changed, I made my wait list smaller, so hopefully, I was getting at the back of smaller lines.

Yep.....we've been waitlisted since mid-FEB. We returned from our cruise, after making an ADD ON at AKV and decided to take a first trip home to AKV Dec 28-Jan 3....some of the night have came through, but we're still waiting on ANY 1BR for NYE.
