December Exercise Challenge

37 minutes this morning brings me up to 509/1000 Finally halfway! :cool1:
 
60 min run/walk and 60 minutes yoga brings me to:
865/1200 72%

Not quite ready to change colors yet. :teeth:

Mid month I injured my knee and haven't been able to do anything since.
I was told no walks even :(
At this point I am waiting to see a specialist next week.
I don't expect to have any more to add to my minutes but wanted to get what I did have in for the total.

So sorry to hear about your injury. :hug: Best wishes for a speedy recovery! :flower3: When I hurt my back earlier this year the pool was a lifesaver for me. If you have access to a pool, ask your specialist about it.

Ooo! Look at all those minutes! :yay: I've been doing some yoga, too, and it is very humbling as it is kicking my butt. :rotfl2:

I took a 30 minute walk this afternoon, which puts my minutes at 999. If I'd only known my number I would have gone another minute!

WOW this week has turned into a nightmare for exercising for me. I have only been able to do my C25K. Gosh I hope things turn back to normal next week on the exercise front. I think it's safe to say that I will not hit my target this month :(

My teacher took song requests and we did a "Best of 2012" class...lots of fun! I love it when exercise doesn't feel like work because you are having so much fun you forget about how hard it is!!

Ok. This is why I signed up. I did my pt last night for a small amount of time but today I have been cooking ALL day for our party tomorrow an haven't run yet. My back is killing me but I have got to do some exercise tonight. I'll report in after!

I braved the cold today :sad: and put in four miles with the DH. That, along with 15 minutes of PT exercises (ouch!) brings the total to:

run - 45 PT - 15 = 1004/1200. So close I can taste it! :cool1::cheer2:

90 min run/walk.

The satellites are really messed up. My run/walk was a known 6 mile route, done it before. BUT my Nike+ only gave me 3.8 mile. Says it took me 32 min to run mile 3.

My alarm clock that runs off the satellites also was screwed up. This should have been a clue to me before I went out for my run.

So here are some of the "Best of 2012" songs from my WERQ class yesterday: Titanium (David Guetta), Call Me Maybe (Carly Rae Jeppson), Two Reasons (Trey Songz), Wild Ones (Flo Rida), Work Hard, Play Hard (Wiz Khalifa), Don't Wake Me Up (Chris Brown), Beauty and a Beat (Justin Beiber), Werk Me (Hyper Crush). Some of the songs have such awesome choreography that I might like a song that I normally wouldn't otherwise :)

Wow - didn't realize how long it has been since I updated. :( I haven't been able to work out much at all due to respiratory problems caused by a sealant that was used to coat the deck off of our bedroom. The deck is the ceiling of the bedroom below, and it was leaking badly. Had to do the repair in this cold and wet weather, so the area had to be tented, thus the fumes were in my bedroom. :sick:

No running, couldn't breathe well enough for that, but here's what I have so far:

12/11 - 90 mins; 30 trainer, 60 spin
12/14 - 30 minutes strength
12/21 - 45 mins; 30 trainer, 15 treadmill
12/22 - 60 mins; 30 boot camp xpress; 30 treadmill

Back to normal life again today and not a moment too soon :banana:

Managed to get in a nice run yesterday before the feasting began popcorn:: and went for another 39 minute run. That should bring December's total to 1081/1200!!:cool1::cool1:

I hope all my fellow DIS'ers had a great Christmas and got everything they asked Santa for! :santa: Keep up the great work and let's start 2013 in great shape, while all of our non-DIS'ers try to keep up with us! :rotfl:

I just realized that I only have 4.5 exercising days left in december because we have company coming on the 30th and unless the forecast changes, we're not going to get out for the run we were planning on NYE. (She's from NC, so she's not exactly keen on running in the snow!)

So, I'm stubborn and I really want to make my goal for December. I really had good intentions of going for a run yesterday after presents, but I napped instead. :thumbsup2 Here's my plan now that I've gotten myself in a bit of a pickle:

12/26 - 40 min of PT and core (b/c i'm supposed to go to see Les Mis tonight:yay:)
12/27 - 45 min run/walk + 30 min pilates
12/28 - 30 min other cardio + 45 min PT/strength
12/29 - 45 min run/walk + 30 min pilates
12/30 - 30 min other cardio + 30 min PT/strength

If I can stick to it, that should get me to 803/800.....

Oh yes... I have eaten and drank more in the last 3 days than I did probably all year! but it sure was yummy! :)
