Good morning...I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what to expect on our cruise this December in regards to holiday events, decorations, etc. We've cruised with Disney before but never around the holidays. Are there any special events we should watch for? We are doing just the 3 night cruise on the Wonder.

TIA.

Hi.
My DD7 and myself willl be going on the Wonder on December 1 this year. We went last December, and the terminal was decorated with Christmas decorations. The ship was decorated including a huge tree in the lobby. Not sure if you have kids, but my DD6-at the time, made and decorated her own Christmas ornament at Castaway Cay. When we went to CC, as we got off the ship, there was egg nog and cookies being given out as well as the decorations all over the island. I know I am forgetting some things, but I think it is the best time of year to go.

Last December (Wonder) we also had carolling and a gingerbread house decorating event.

There were appearances by Goofy Santa, and Mickey and Minnie took photos in their "Mr. and Mrs. Clause"-like outfits (old Victorian style).

We had a great time on our 10 day cruise at Christmas. Click here to go to page one of our trip report (you can go to each next day by the link at the bottom).

Disney does a great job of decorating and entertaining for the season.

Thank you all so much...we will be taking my grandson, who will be 6 in January...on the cruise with us. It will be our third and his first so I'm really hoping to make it very special for him. Everything you've described sounds just wonderful...I can hardly wait!!!

We're doing the Wonder cruise on the 1st for three nights--can't wait either :)

The decorations provide some great backgrounds for wonderful pictures - if you can brave formal night lines (for the 7 night) for a picture in front of the atrium tree, it is worth it for Christmas cards. There is a gingerbread making event and a giant gingerbread house, storytelling by Mrs. Claus, and appearances by Santa. The CC decorations are kind of humorous on the beach - fake snow and snow scenes with a Carribean flavor! It was cool!
