December at the World with grand child???

For the first time we are taking our grand baby girl age three and another girl age 8 to the World first week in Dec. I am planning our meal ressies and looking for any advise. It has been a long time since we took little ones to the World. Also I don't want to break the bank but I know some of my choices are spendy, but this is OK. We are staying in a 2 bedroom at BWV. Probably will try to do Breakfast in the condo and just wing it for quick lunches in the park. Here is what I am currently thinking for dinner ressies and would like any feedback.

Cinderella Royal Table, 1900 Park Fare, San Angel Inn, Liberty Tree Tavern, Sci-Fi Theater and Mama Melrose Ristorante. When it is just the DW and I, we hit all the great spots every night. This trip is 6 adults and 2 kids and we are naturally paying for everything so no Calif. Grill etc. Thanks in advance and Aloha.

Our DGC are now 5, 6 and 7 (already!) and they as well as we adults all love the breakfast buffet at the BCV with the characters. OK, it's a buffet that actually has lox and so, right away it's for me, and the other stuff is good too!

Another meal that we nearly always do is the Park Fare dinner with Cinderella and her stepfamily as well as Prince Charming. We didn't do this one in January, and the little one asked if we were going to eat with Cinderella, so for sure I booked it for June!

We are also doing the fireworks dessert party for the first time in July. With 9 of us, and the special 4th of July fireworks, we thought it would be nice to be a bit away from the crowd. I don't know how that will work. They will have it through December so it's something you may want to look into. You'll be there for a MVMCP, and we did go once with the kids to that. I was disappointed for the kids. Lots of things that they wanted to do, like listening to Belle's story was too crowded to really enjoy. The dance parties were very crowded. We/They had fun, but with the kids, I don't think I would do it again, until they were a bit older and could stay to the end, when crowds would thin out. (Of course, I won't stay to the end, that's up to their DParents!!!!!) It will be our treat, though.

That's a review of the party that someone did in April. You watch the fireworks from the Tomorrowland Terrace, and the area has tables with desserts for you to enjoy. When I booked, I was told that you watch the fireworks standing, I guess you're up against the railing, although, I have read reviews of people who sat at the table. I suppose it deppends on how many people are there.

We went this past December with our son, who was 2 at the time, DHs cousin and her family (kids 5 and 11). We all really liked the Biergarten in Germany. There was a good variety of food, so everyone found something they liked. We also took ds to Chef Mickey's for breakfast, which he loved.

Everyone went to the MVMCP, and everyone had a blast. We weren't sure how our son would survive staying up so late, but we had a slow day, then went into the MAgic Kingdom around 6. He LOVED the parade, and had so much fun watching the characters. He liked the fireworks, but fell asleep halfway through. I would take him to that again in a heartbeat!

Some of your options might work for lunch as well as dinner (Sci-Fi, MM, SAI). If you are paying out of pocket, lunch is usually cheaper than dinner. Look at the menus, and if the menu items you want are available at lunch as well, you might schedule something around 1-2 ish. We also eat breakfast in the room and then head out for the morning. Around 1-2 we are hungry. We like a nice, satisfying lunch, then a light supper. It works for us. It also helps to save a bit of money.

I agree with previous posters that Biergarten and Cape May breakfast are great. We also really enjoy Donald's breakfast at AK.

We always go to 2 MVMCP and MNSSHP when we are there. We get to see things we may have missed the first go round....once with kids of course is plenty. My advise would be to eat in the MK (CRT, LTT) or on the monorail line so you can get tot he park quickly after your meal. We have found that 5:00 dinner times work great. Eat go to the park and get a seat for the first parade.

I know you will have a terrific time. DH and I will be there 12/01-12/10.

We've taken our DGD twice now, once in January while she was 4, and last December when she was 6.

I, personally, think off-park choices are much less chaotic and more agreeable. We loved Park Fare and Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch.

Crystal Palace was always packed, chaotic, and a long wait even with ADRs.... however, when Winnie the Pooh walked up, DGD's smile just lit up the room No matter how much I cringe at the thought of the crowds, I know I'll be there again next trip with her.

I've never tried to do the Cinderella meal at MK. I wasn't impressed with any reviews I read for the cost involved. We tried the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall last trip when I didn't call quick enough to grab a Park Fare ADR, and was very pleased. We had a great selection of princesses.

I know you said you were looking at dinners and have girls but we love Cape May for breakfast over at the BC. Staying at the Boardwalk you could go on your way to Epcot. The buffet is good, it is not so crowded so the character interactions are longer and repeated and you do not feel rushed. My boys have asked to go back (ages 4 & 7).

I have heard good things about the Norway princesses meal and would try for that if I had girls who wanted to see princesses.
