december at the polynesian and the weather

We are leaving for our dream vacation on Dec. 3rd and staying at the PolynesianConcierge. I checked all the weather reports I could, and most are saying rain on Friday, Friday ngt, Sat. and Sat. ngt. We have tickets for MVMCP on Friday which is the ngt we arrive. Has anyone else been to the party in the rain? Also what are my chances that maybe it won't rain?

It's still a few days away. Hopefully the weather forcast will change for the better. We want to go to Typhoon Lagoon on Saturday, so hopefully it will get warm and the rain will go away!!! Sorry, never been to MVMCP in the rain, so don't know how that would be.

We went to a rain-filled one in 99. Most of the rides were still going (BTMR was probably down). Parades were cancelled and outdoor shows were cancelled. The fireworks went on, but they were hardly visible in the conditions.

We still had a good time because it was 2 adults with another adult couple. I don't know if we would have looked back as fondly with DD in tow.

I have read of a number of people going to guest services to get some form of compensation (ticket for another night, a one-day ticket, partial money refund). We didn't know of trying at the time though.

Dont worry too much about the weather. Whenever we have gone I became obsessive about checking all the weather sites and they always called for rain at some point. We had a brief shower and then it cleared up. It could be raining at MGM but was nice at MK. It could be nice and sunny when you enter a ride and then come back out to find your stoller soaked! Florida weather is a little crazy. Enjoy WDW no matter if its rainy or sunny. I would rather be there than at home! And we cant control the weather! Have a great trip-

We were able to get our MVMCP tickets refunded when it rained in 99. We were leaving the next day, so we couldn't re-book for another night.

The latest weather report has it looking nice now. No rain! Have a great time at MVMCP!!!

Can't wait to hear how you liked the Poly. I've always wanted to stay there!
