December ADRs

I don't get it....... I've been anxiously awaiting my ADR day (tomorrow) so I can make my reservations for our Dec. trip. All I keep hearing about is how CRAZY the parks are during the week between xmas and NYE. So I've been biting my finger nails and praying that I will get at the very least some of my ADR's. I mean if the park is THAT crowded they should be all booked up, no? So daily I check to see if things are available and as of now, there is plenty of availability for both xmas eve and xmas day I would have expected there to be limited availability, horrible times available, but nope, prime times at just about everything except 5 or 6 places. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled that tomorrow morning I most likely will be able to get every ADR on my list but where are the crowds I keep reading about??

Even hotels still have plenty of availability this week. What gives??

Making ours tomorrow as well. I don't have any really popular ones on our list though, so I'm hoping it will be smooth sailing.

Oddly enough even the hard to get ones are available for the 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th. I'm shocked. I guess tomorrow is the moment of truth but I surely am not nervous like I was. I think I'll be fine. Maybe NYE itself will be impossible to get something but the rest of the days I'm not concerned about.

I was able to get everything I wanted except Olivia's Cafe!!!
We were hoping to eat at Olivia's Cafe for breakfast before we head home on Jan. 2. Well, no availability! I was even able to book the highly coveted Le Cellier, but Olivia's Cafe is all booked. Just seems strange to me!

We'll also be at Disney at Christmas ~ for 2 weeks I was able to get all of the ADRs I wanted (lots of character meals) at the exact times I wanted. I even cancelled some of them and later booked new ones with no problem at all either. I'm also excited I got everything I wanted, but YES, it does me a bit confused I'm hoping this means that Disney is not getting bookings like they usually do and will offer free dining for December!!!

Didn't even bother waking up at 7 to make me ressies. Did it about 8:30 and I got everything I wanted with the exact times I wanted with the exception of NYE, I wanted Portobello and it was booked so I took Fulton's instead. I also had a problem booking for NY day. there is lots of availability but my computer just couldn't get into the ressie. I'll try again in a little bit.

One thing I noticed that didn't happen when I made my ressies for our trip last Oct. was that many more places require a CC to hold them so maybe a lot of people won't do it? Or mabye normally people put a lot of places on hold in case their plans change. Now with the CC they would get charged so maybe they aren't "holding" as many ressies??

Regardless of why, I had no trouble at all. So happy I got everything I wanted and we are all set

O I forgot one, I have one slot open for BOG when it opens. I hope I get that one.

I was trying to get Olivia's for breakfast also and no availability...that is very odd!
