Yes just one gift one time for each cabin. For the one gift for the cabin you can either make one cabin gift or one gift for each person in that cabin. For example, if the cabin has 2 adults, 2 kids, you can either make one gift for them to share or one gift for each person. Maybe say a magnet for the adults and some candy for the kids (just an example) or just a magnet for everyone in the cabin to share. Last cruise I gave each cabin a baggie full of Disney silly bandz for everyone in that cabin to share. But on other Disney cruises I have given pirate coins for the adults and pirate candy for the kids. For me it depends on how many participants are in the gift exchange. If it is a small group, then I will give a small gift for each person in the cabin. If it ends up being a large group, then I will give one gift for each cabin.

any idea when we will get a round about of how many will be included in the FE?
also can someone explain how this works? weve never cruised disney or done a FE!
do we buy/make gifts for everyone every night?

missj1975 gave you some great advice. You can do whatever you want for the gifts. There are many threads showing great ideas. You can purchase or create something on your own. I look at this as an opportunity to express my creative side. Remember to have fun with it and be excited. Pick something doable within your talents and budget. It's a way to meet people and share something special about yourself. I have read many threads regarding different gift ideas. The ones that always stand out are the things that reflect where someone is from or have a little personalization. Don't stress! Remember it should be fun for you! We have a saying in Scouting... If its not fun it isn't Scouting. Therefore if its not fun its not an FE!:yay:

Your advice made me remember to ask about allergies. When I send out the FE list to everyone I will ask if there are any food allergies to worry about. That way if you are planning candy or prepackaged food items you can be aware. My child has a severe reaction to wheat and egg. No snickers, milky way, skittles, kit kats....:sad1: All that Halloween candy going to my waist, I mean waste. :rolleyes1

See you in December

Wow its starting to get close!

In addition to the FE, do we want to plan a meet/get together on the boat? This is my first time on the Dream and I will need input from the repeat cruisers for setting something up?

FE participants... Are their any other guidelines or helpful things you need to know. One thing to note. The available space for your FE "collector" is smaller on the Dream than the classic ships. You should not have a problem with the length, but the width needs to be around 8 inches. If anyone can verify this please do?

Is anyone planning to dress up for Pirate Night (Day 3 evening of Castaway Cay)? My wife is planning to go all out on a costume. Its just the way she is! Just one of the reasons I love her.

I have done a December cruise before and I doubt there will be more then 20 cabins signing up. Usually it is the speciality cruises ,like Hawaii, etc that gets big turn outs for the FE exchange.

Our cruise should be light on the repeat cruisers. During the same week the Fantasy has a special event podcast cruise for on of the cruise boards and the Wonder? is repositioning.

Because the Dream should be lighter on Repeat cruisers.... A lot of the tips you can learn on these boards will work. Traffic flow, getting your excursions and reservations. At least I am hoping!!!!

That being said 20 should be a good number. If we exceed that we can always divide up and have two smaller subgroups. We can decide that near the deadline.

thanks for all the FE advice! :-)
Also on the list you do concering allergies have if they drink alcohol too? ive been reading other places and some people give out little bottles of liquor, etc.

Hi Please add us to the FE group. One adult and two girls (9 and 12). We can't wait until December. We're spending three days at DW before and four days after the cruise. All our dining ressies done for DW so now we just have to watch the days go by so slowly on that calendar.

Hello, I would like to join the group as well. Myself, husband, daughter (5yrs) and daughter (14yrs). This is our first Disney Cruise.

My oldest daughter, my husband, and I did cruise many years ago on another cruise line. But I am sure she doesn't remember any of it.

We would also like to be part of the FE.

I am a new registered member, so I cannot send a PM yet.

Thanks

auntiedot and TracyJAE welcome to the group! Once you have 5 posts I think you can send a PM. I am sending both of you a PM. It may let you reply even though you don't have 5 posts. Give it a try.

Our group is growing! The excitement is building! See everyone in December.

okay, thanks.

I sent a test email. The message seemed to have too many spaces. Hopefully that went through and then I can send the information.

I tried to reply with "TEST 2". See if that works. Or other option I am trying to find threads I can reply to and get my count above 10 so I can PM :)

We have never joined a group like this, were more like first time cruisers. Our last cruise was almost 10 years ago! And that was with another company.

Do the groups tend to meet up anywhere during the cruise, or do anything to be able to identify us to each other?

Are there any other geocachers on this group? (Geocaching high tech treasure hunt can see video at geocahing.com on exactly what it is.) We plan to do some geocaching at Nassau and 1 on Castaway Cay.

I want to have a meet and great at some point, but since this is my first cruise also... I have no idea what may be a good place to meet. I have been looking at making buttons for the group or stickers. I started a Design, but am redesigning it based on some feedback. When I feel more comfortable about it I'll post it to the tread.

Never Geocached, but it sounds fun. If i can locate a cheap GPS. I may be interested.

Lots of phones can be used to geocache, some with free apps. Another alternative is just using google maps and the clues. That is how we started I am pretty sure the one on Castaway Cay will be found that way.

Hi all!

It is going to be my third DCL Cruise and my friend's 1st cruise of any type (can I call him a DF? I think I have most of the abbreviations down on here. This is my first time joining anything like the DIS.)
I wanted to make sure his first cruise was DCL so that he could experience the best!

We would love to join the FE group. I saw the FE's on some cabins on the past cruises I have been on and always wondered what they were for. It seems like so much fun!

OP, please PM me with your email address as I can't send PM's yet. :worried:

At first I thought FE's were a random thing, you made/bought trinkets and walked around dropping them in FE's throughout the boat. I was worried because we have an aft cabin (literally, on the back of the boat) that nobody would make it to us! I'm glad to see that there will be a list.

Do you think there will be other FE's for people using different forums or not using any at all? Maybe I will bring some extra little things to pass out.

I also heard that DCL CM's may place some items in our FE's... true or false?

I'm glad to be aboard the DIS and looking forward to setting sail!

Welcome to the group Daniel! Sent you the information via private thread and attempted the "e-mail to" option. My e-mail, attached to the account is a spam filter. So if anyone attempts to use that option let me know to go retrieve it. I do check the PM messages. The e-mail address that I will be sending the list from is a real account and I do check that. Please always start you titles with "FE+(subject)". I get tons of e-mail and I can filter the e-mails to a special folder.

Thanks,
Christopher
