December 9, 2007 4 night

Thank You MINNIE OF TWO MICE and CRSNDSNY! I appreciate the info,:) I looked up the horse riding and discovered the minimum age is 9, so wife said no because dd cant go.:confused3 The carriage ride has a very good possibility though? I am hoping my DD will be overwhelmed with the whole thing, it will be somewhat interesting after this is all over how she acts? My wife and I have been chuckling about getting her to order room service of milk and cookies and are looking forward to seeing her pick the phone up after the cruise and no one is there? We will see if she does it?
MOTM We hope your mom is ok, and that you dont get run to much in taking care of her?
Talk with you all soon,
G4D
:hourglass5 more days before I can start my ADR's

Goofy 4 Disney - Thanks for the well wishes for my Mom. She did fine. She was in surgery for three hours. They were able to use the rod and pins. She is a diabetic so that will play against her. I felt so sorry for her yesterday as I have NEVER seen my Mom down with anything. She has never been hospitalized. If she has a cold or virus, she just keeps on trucking. She is a very strong woman with a great work ethic and it worries me that she will be down for so long.

Back to Disney...pin trading is fun for all ages. I lucked up when we started. I got 50 or so test track pins for a dollar a piece at a disney outlet that is no longer in Memphis. The children traded until the were down to one a piece. So if yall wanted to buy some on clearance at disneyshopping or laughing place to get started at their young age (3 and 4) all they would need is probably five or six to have a really good time. The little girls are always going to go for a princess. Before each trip, my children take the ones off they dont want to trade and leave them home. This surprise trip I decided to make them new lanyards. I have bought about 15 pins a piece. They buy pins with their own money too which tells me they enjoy it. It is something that slows the pace a little when you need a break.

CRSNDSNY - Do you have the nursery ready? Thirty nine days? I hope you are feeling ok. I am glad you dont have to suffer all of the summer months!! Take care of yourself and keep us informed.

Oh, you'd laugh at me if you saw how unprepared I am this time around! :lmao:

We're doing some bedroom rearranging beginning this week so hopefully we'll start to get things in order now. I'm on early maternity leave from work so I have some time now to start preparing -- as long as this little guy could hold out a bit. We plan on keeping him in our room for at least the first 5 or 6 months anyway -- Amelia was in our room for the first 8 months.

I'm starting to get in panic mode, though!!!

Hang in there, Minnie. Sending loads of good thoughts your (and your mom's) way! ((((HUGS)))) :grouphug:

crystal27- Thanks alot!

I went to see her today and "I" feel so much better. It is just stange to see her actually laying in bed...sick, kinda...I guess. The nurses did make her get up and sit in a chair today. Glad I missed that. My older sister said it was not a good moment. The fact that my Mom acknowledged my being there today was a good feeling for me and my daughter!! She has been on a pain pump and I tell you...she has been in LA LA land big time. Today was overall a good day for her. I dont think she realizes yet what the doctors have been saying timewise on her recovery.

CRSNDSNY - You sound like me the first go around!! We had been married for ten years and not officially talked about having a child. I was three months pregnant when I found out. She was two weeks past my due date and I packed my bag the night before I was induced!!!! ALL of my sisters were throwing a fit. I did my nursery in Noahs Ark in rich deep colors. It was a room fit for a king or a queen. As it turns out, it was for a queen first...and a year later for the king!!! I kept my babies close to me too!! I do miss cuddling with the sweet little things.

The time sure does go by quickly!

I meant to tell yall something. I dont know if yall have been following Kay on her trip to Hawaii but she had to cut it short because of her health. She was going home today I think and the Doctor tomorrow. She cut her trip short a full week. She is on our cruise, but I forget her screen name.

My Mom is moving from the hospital to rehab tomorrow. They are saying she will be there a month unless she just does remarkable. She is off the pain pump and not complaining of alot of pain. She is doing so much better. She is acting more like her upbeat self. That may change in the morning when she is assigned her drill sergeant!!!!

I have to admit that today is the first time I REALLY wanted to spill the beans. The children are saying I wish Dad would let us go to disney this year. Why do we have to wait? Why do you let him make the decisions? If it was you, we would be going!! I felt so bad that they were bashing him and it didnt help we needed to be Fathers Day shopping! I told him and he laughed. Men kill me how they let things roll off their backs. If it were turned around and he told me I would cry for a week! They are going to be SOOOOOO excited.

So sorry to hear about Kay. That's really too bad. Hopefully we'll hear some good news from her soon.

MotM - I hope your Mom does really well. I'll say a prayer that she does and she recovers faster than expected. And btw, I cannot believe you're able to keep this trip a secret! Wow!

My Mom is doing wonderful. Thanks! We will welcome all the prayers we can get.

It is very hard to keep this secret. However it has made for some good conversation for William and I. He is as excited as I am which is not always the case when we are traveling spending money!!! I guess he realizes this year that Christie and I need more than our weekend jaunts here and there watching races. I love racing but I love Disney too! Both children deserve it but mostly Christie because she just goes with the flow without complaining. Most of our weekends until late fall are consumed with some type of race. Its funny how racing ALWAYS fits in the budget but you have to really budget for Disney.:confused3 I dont mind though. I do like having it all paid way before we go and spending money already put on our account for the cruise. It is so nice to go on vacation for a week virtually spending not much at all.

:cool1: Guess what I got in the mail today.....my MVMCP tickets!!!! They are so cute. They always have a different scene on them. I dont know why but we always argue who is getting which one. There is a really cute teacup one. Both of my children love the teacups. There is another one with Cinderella and her prince with the glass slipper. All of them are cute, really really cute!:cool1:

Hello gang,

I found this thread a week ago, but have just gotten the chance to post.

My bff and I will be onboard. It's a first cruise for both of us. We're starting with one night at Pop and following the cruise with 4 nights at WL. This is also our first time being at WDW during the holiday season so we're excited about MVMCP too.

:welcome: abminer!!!!

We are staying at the WL before the trip. It will be our first time staying there. It will be our fifth trip to WDW during the holidays. We have only ever went to disney during the holiday season. We love it.

I got my customized maps in the mail today. They are really nice. I think we will probably keep them for keepsakes in our scrapbooking. If I am not mistaken we can print them off now that we got them. Has everyone else ordered theirs? It just highlights off everything your interested in for you. They are just a nice touch. Home Sweet Home this weekend! I am so glad that I may actually get something done around the house.

I am wondering about Kay. I went back and read the post and she went to the doctor today. She hasnt been on the boards in a couple of days which is unusual for her. I hope everything is OK.

Hi everyone:

well, I am alive - :thumbsup2

I have just been resting at home and catching up on the time changes I have had. The flight home was better than the flight over. I left in the am and got home the next am. Long, long flight.

Dr. said I just took 2 steps backwards but I'll be OK - I actually fell at my son's house on the 2nd night, when I went upstairs to watch some TV at 3 am and went into the b/room and right outside is a wicker basket with an iron leg on it. My left foot caught on that and I went down. Opened my tummy wound a little. I should have had the lights on, but I wanted to be quiet so I would not wake anyone up.

BUT - I am glad I am home this w/end and doing hardly anything. Listing a lot of things on e-bay - have actually done really well lately.

My two girls are out of town also, so it really is a rest time for me.

I have been trying to keep up with the thread and have a few more to read as yet.

My DD, Karen, who will be w/me on the cruise is in Vegas this weekend. She loves going there. With the new baby, I am glad she found time to have some fun.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday - hope the Hawaii thread was fun to read for those of you who followed it.

IS IT TIME TO CRUISE YET????????????

It's great to hear from you Kay. I'm glad you are doing better.
Rest up and take it easy!

Kay - I am so glad to hear from you. I have been worried about you. Take care of yourself.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL OF THE DADS!!!!!

I have been looking on the BBB thread and the pictures are adorable. To those of you have appointments, yall are going to have some wonderful memories.

I dont know if anyone else has been lurking other than PrincessDi but Atlantis new part has opened!! It is Awesome. It is also included in your resort stay price which is cheaper than through DCL. Yall have to go to the website and check it out. All that stuff I said about chilling on the ship in Nassau just went down a 200 foot 14 second water slide. My children will be stoked!!! My DH will be on the 200 drop while I watch of course!!!! There are so many other things that make it like a waterpark not just the waterslides!!!!! I hope Princessdi is reading....is she dont respond I will have to PM her!

GO GO GO AND CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE!!!!!!!

I have to get back to work. Yall have a good day!

Kay - I hope you are getting better. Take good care of yourself.

I have done a little research. To stay in a beach tower (on the web it says its full) if you call it is available. The cost is $300.00 tax and gratuity included. If you buy Atlantis aqauadventure package with NO room for us 3 adults and one child (11 and under) is 390.00 plus tax. The comfort suites is only $197.50. I had not even considered that hotel last year because I got the deal on travelzoo.com which was cheaper. Now..do I wait a month or two for travelzoo or go ahead and book. I need to see if my reward nights on my hotel cards has a comfort suites. The excursion through disney is sky high and not necessary really. Just thought I would let yall know what I found.
