December 8th, 2011 on the Dream

This will be our second cruise as a family. The first one was June 2010 with my whole family. DH was not a real fan going into this and suprised the day lights out of my when on the second day of the cruise he said to me I am going to book another cruise for the Christmas holiday...I can not tell you how excited I was and we went right there and then. So now we are counting down to this curise.

FE might be something we are interested in depending on how many are involved.

Well, I'll chat! I did my first Disney Cruise last December. DH surprised me for my birthday with a little trip away for the two of us. We were on the Wonder and fell hard and fast for Disney Cruising. Now, we are taking the kiddos for not only their first cruise, but actually their first time seeing the OCEAN Seems like every vacation takes us straight to Disney World, so this is going to be something entirely new for them.

So, is everyone looking at Port Adventures? What are you thinking about booking? By the way -- are their still a lot of rooms open on our sailing? I would love to talk my best friend and her fam into going!!

We added this cruise because of a day off from school and also because of the pricing. We considered adding a second room so my dd could bring a friend, but unfortunately, it was cost prohibitive because the kid prices were so cheap! I am hoping maybe some special pricing will open up and we can still add the friend later.

My dd wants to do a dolphin encounter, but I think I may save that for our Western in May. We will try to get a Palo dinner. Otherwise, I will be probably be reading on Deck 4 most of the cruise!

I know on the Wonder last year, the Christmas decorations were beautiful! That will add a new element for you guys, too

Yeah -- I'm going back and forth about the dolphin encounter as well. Can't quite make up my mind. Part of me just wants to stay on board while in Nassau and explore the Dream

The cruise is just around the corner. I plan to start our count down the beginning of October so I have already started working on the layout. DD just can not wait all she has been talking about is can she meet Goofy's son Max - she thinks that he is good looking. Not sure if I should be excited to hear this or to be worried, but I think I will go with the first.

Yeah! Love BCV stayed there in May. We are staying at VWL on Wed. with breakfast ressies at the Whispering Canyon. Hilary has never been there Looking forward to a fun, fun trip.

We had breakfast there for the first time during our last trip in June. We have done dinner several times. It was fun and we enjoyed it a little more than dinner. We had a late breakfast, so it was more quiet than usual in there!

I haven't booked breakfast yet, we usually do Cape May if we are staying at BCV (our favorite resort - we usually stay here or Old Key West - we have stayed everywhere but BLT). However, we may just grab Chick-Fil-A on the way to the port (we are driving).

I did book our return flight home today. :-( My dd has to be home that Sunday evening for a required choral performance, and it was tough finding flights that would work and not cost an arm and a leg. I was secretly hoping we could just stay in Florida....

Any other teens on this cruise? I have a senior daughter and freshman son.

Hi! I just noticed that I haven't posted since March! I am still interested in participating in the FE! My inside cabin number is 6673. I'll be cruising with my friend Kristi and this will be the 2nd half of my B2B. I'll be cruising with another friend on the 4 night (we'll have a veranda;-) I'll be attending the holiday party on December 3rd---the night before my 4 night cruise. I am trying to convert my friends to the Disney Side;-) My husband hates to travel---and you wouldn't want him on the cruise anyway---the 2 Disney cruises he took--we missed Castaway Cay both times!

If there is anything that needs doing for this cruise just let me know---I'll be happy to help out

Booked Palo and a Dolphin Encounter (for dd) this evening. So excited!

Pretty quiet in here...

My dd just got selected yesterday to be a "Select Singer" at school. It is a small group (16 students) that performs at every whim of the school and community, including a special Christmas performance at the aforementioned concert the Sunday we leave the ship (which requires additional practices). Now it looks like she may not get to sail with us. We are going to speak with the director in a couple of weeks once school has settled down.

Regardless, I will be on the ship and will be home Sunday night to enjoy her performance.
