We've had really nice weather here this week. Sadly, I've been under the weather. Something in my abdomen. Just had a CT and waiting for results. Ugg! Next week we should be getting rain and cool. We need all the rain we can get because we usually don't get any between April and September, just wish it could have been when I wasn't feeling well!

Good luck. And I hope you get some rain, too :)

So anyone planning a cruise with Carnival?? :lmao: I bet you can get a really good deal.....:thumbsup2 There is even a chance you can get a refund and 1/2 off on another cruise....:rotfl:

OK, I feel bad for all the people that are booked and unable to take their cruise, but Carnival better start taking care of their ships....

later

I must have missed something, what has happened?

Oh just more problems with their ships....they had another electrical problem on the Carnival Dream that caused more issues with the toilets and elevators, so they sat there for a few days. They didn't let people off in case they got it fixed and pulled out. They didn't. Finally flew everyone back to Port Canaveral because people onboard called the media.

Then another Carnival ship, the Legend had to cut their cruise short due to 'technical problems' causing the ship to not have good propulsion.

When news of this broke, it came out that the Carnival Elation had the same issue earlier this month.

This all following the high drama of the Carnival Triumph that went on for days, the fire on the Splendor a couple of years back, and of course, the Costa Concordia that the Captain ran aground and then abandoned ship with passengers still onboard. (he 'fell' into the lifeboat and couldn't get out)

All in all, it's not a good time for Carnival.

Just another reason for me to not take a carnival cruise. I would try royal Caribbean, however.

Royal Caribbean would be my next choice also. Carnival I never wanted to go on that cruiseline.

Just a quiet day here. Just finished dinner and cleaning up in the kitchen. Going to watch some TV and thats about it.

Work tomorrow, but I have tuesday off. Going to get some running done....

That's not good. I'd be starting to ask questions if I was a Carnival shareholder or something. Maybe it's coming back to cost cutting on maintenance?

Carnival has really started to market itself here and now have sailings from here. I've heard it's more of a 'fun' or party ship so it's not something we are interested in at the moment.

Hi everyone! I'm so excited about cruising the Caribbean! Looking forward to meeting everyone! My husband and I (Tom and Pam) will be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We don't have our stateroom # yet as we booked a GTY. This will be our 4th cruise, and definitely the longest. We would love to join the secret santa, but not interested in the fe.

Welcome aboard. In case you didn't see it, there is a link in my signature to our website with info about the group. There is also a facebook group set up and you can find the link there as well.

Sometime in the next week or so I will set up a secret santa sign up on the website once I work out the details on how we will actually do the exchange. I am trying to avoid another group gathering.

Nice to have you aboard! I'm Angie and my main squeeze and traveling companion is John. This will be our 4th Disney cruise. We've been on about 25 cruises altogether with several cruise lines. Love cruising!
