Ok, I really need to be young again.....I think I overdid today.

Cleaned the kitchen really good, the batheroom, bedroom, then inbetween, I have been doing laundry...went and mowed the lawn and put away all the last minute yard stuff.:thumbsup2 I am exhaused and my back and knees are bothering me.....Oh to be 30 something again.....

going to chill for awhile then I have to start dinner....

Sounds like a big job but with rewards later! What vegetables do you grow in your garden?

Angie

Just regular stuff like corn, peas, beans, tomatoes, lettuce, eggplant, passionfruit, herbs. Only problem with lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower and some of the herbs etc is that it bolts with the heat  so I don't really worry about it now unless it's something I really can't do without. I'm still only learning this vegetable garden thingy so so far it's all been experimentation. Asian vegetables do well here but I'm not overly fussed on many of them.

Welcome back......

Thanks for the report.
OK question, is the set appetizer, soup and dessert only at AP at your second rotation or is this thru all the dining rooms every nite? I have read complaints about the food, I think Disney needs to be aware and step it up, since they charge more for their cruises.

But it sounds like you had a great time. I still cant wait to get on the ship and see her in person. Our stateroom is mid-ship, so I guess I better bring a GPS with me so I wont get lost...:rotfl:

Well I have tons of things to get done around here so better get off this computer and get them done.

No, it is only your AP rotation where you do the drawing for the animation part. I think it's to speed up service so it doesn't make dinner drag out too long.

I agree, I wasn't as happy with the food as we have been in the past. All the potatoes were piped out into a dome and baked and were hard and dried out, NASTY! The only potatoes I ate on the ship were the ones in Cabanas which were just mashed....

oh and french fries, ;)

Welcome back, glad you had a great trip. We had the same opinions about the food on the Dream last year. And sad to hear they made no improvements to the adult pool area. We will still have a great cruise anyway.

Well Monday is here......:crazy2: This weekend flew by....I have Friday off.
Going to go with 3 of my "childhood friends" we grew up next door to each other since we were babies.....(now dont get too jealous) were going to see The Monkees friday nite. We went last year while Davey Jones was still alive and they were soooo good, so will see how they are this year since no Davey, but Mike added in:confused3.

Well have a good day

Yes we will! We fully enjoyed our cruise! I was still sad to get off the ship...you probably can still see my claw marks as they dragged me off! :lmao:

I was really sad to when I heard the news, my dad passed away 2-25-12..the nite of the wake, (one of the girls going to see them with) brother came in and he was the one that told my that Davy had passed that day....I was really upset.
When we saw them last year they were so good and Davy and Mickey were all over the stage...so will see how Mike fills in. It should be fun, we always have a good time when we get together, so either way it will be fun. I will try and post pictures from their show last year, tonite when I get home.

Ok, gonna try and post pic's of the Monkess from last summer...hopefully it works:

I think the food on many cruise lines isn't as good as it once was. Once they added the upcharge restaurants things started disappearing from the dining room!

I had to go back to work. I didn't sleep at all Monday night, so by yesterday afternoon I was exhausted. :faint:
Plus, I spent all day on the computer and my eyes are out of practice

Now, I'm off to get some of my files boxed up for archiving....some day someone may decide to look at what I did....:lmao:

Spent all day flying back to the west coast! I'm back home not for about 3 weeks--that is if you don't count going to my daughter's in Chico (240 miles) for Thanksgiving :)

Morning....

Thank goodness it's Thursday and I'm off tomorrow.

Chuck: doing well, just having issues that our cruise is so dang far away:worried: I think I need a vacation now!!!

well gotta run

later:)

Hi all. It's Friday morning (7.30am) and I've got my first day or work this week. Well, I could have worked earlier this week but my daughter had an orientation day for her new school for next year. She will start high school (she'll be 13 next year) and I'm not sure what that equates to for your system.

Not much going on here. DH made repairs to yet another underground water pipe connector (they must have come from a faulty batch as that's about 4 we've had to replace :furious:). Then he was pulling up old concrete from around the house and broke into the grey water pipe and when he got the new pipe to join the broken bits found that the old pipe is slightly bigger than the new one! So he fixed that temporarily with some wide tape and continued pulling up the concrete slabs, to find underneath a slab was the old grease trap - the metal bits underground was all rusty and the water disgusting and it was full of cockroaches :scared1: Now that explains why I always had cockroaches under the kitchen sink! The grease trap is outside the kitchen where the sink is. Ah, the joys of an old house. We've got bit of a porch type thing off the laundry that we're going to close in and turn into the new laundry and the existing laundry will be a storage room full of sliding cupboard doors, like a big wardrobe. It's a small, narrow laundry and drives me crazy as there's no real room to move or store things. So, we've got to dig up the concrete slabs, check out what is there for the plumber to do, move all existing pipes to further out and connect them up to the new line for the grey water. Then we'll have to build the external wall and do all the other stuff that needs doing. It means I get to choose a new laundry tub and taps :)

Well I hope everyone enjoys their day. I'll have a class full of kids today so I'm hoping all goes well for me :)

Wow, renovation work, its a love hate relationship....hate the work and mess love the finished product. Hope things go a little more smoothly for you.

Well not much going on here.

have a good evening all
