Have you sailed on the Dream? If so, hope you can give some comparisons.

Yes I have. I will give a full report on the similarities and differences when we get back.
I know there are the two additional wet areas on the Fantasy, one kid, one adult and it looks like to me the clubs are on reversed sides, like a mirror twin instead of an exact twin. This will also be our first time cruising forward....looking forward to experiencing that as well. I love aft, but with the adult areas of the ship being forward, wanted to give that a shot! ;)

Stephanie, I am actually looking forward to your report when you get back.
Since you have been on the Dream, how does the two (Magic/Dream) compare? Does it feel more crowded since the ship is so much larger?

Actually I really dont care....I just want to get on and cruise....

Have a good afternoon all

:wave2:

Actually, I didn't feel any more crowded, but the layout of the ship confused me a bit since I had sailed on the Magic six times and the Wonder once. The adult district being Aft rather than forward was a little confusing. But it is nice in that you can go out on deck four from the clubs. The pools seem small for the size of the ship as well. But walking through the ship I never felt any more crowded than the other ships. And I do get a bit freaked in crowds at times if I feel trapped.

I'v been the the Magic only 3 times, the first time, we were all the way forward..I didnt do to bad getting around the ship, as to me it was easy, everything was pretty much behind us. The second time, I went with one of my girlfriends, we were mid-ship. That really threw me...I kept going the wrong way and making wrong turns....(it was her first time on disney) she finally said at one point, that's it your no longer the designated driver:rotfl2:
She seemed to do better than me. The last time, I did ok and we were Aft...so everyting in front of us...I think I should stay Aft or Forward...I seem to do better....:rotfl::thumbsup2

But I did hear that about the new ship's that the pools are smaller, but I dont swim much, so it's ok.

Well just going to chill the rest of the evening....

I was not a fan of the adult area on the Dream, hope things are improved on the Fantasy.

Darn time differences. Got beaten to the top again. I think it's about 6.30pm on Sunday for L.A and it's 11.37am on Monday here for me.

The talk about karaoke... Do you remember when Roseanne sang the Start Spangled Banner? Well, that's kind of how I would sound, so if nobody minded and promised to not laugh I could have a try. I've never tried karaoke before; we had a neighbour who fancied himself a karaoke star and would regale us all with his 'talents' on a regular basis. He took himself and his karaoke very seriously :rotfl2:

School goes back for us tomorrow so it's the last term until the end of the year for Christmas holidays. :sad1:

I agree, Chuck. Sulley and I loved to go to Sessions for a before dinner drink. there really wasn't a comparable place on the Dream. The closest was Skyline, but it was small and no piano and everyone wandering through....not relaxing at all. The sports bar is big and comfy, but not quiet and relaxing. We didn't care for Pink as we are neither champagne drinkers and the others were the family party and bingo and you name it.

The Fantasy district looks to be a mirror image, just the names changed to protect the innocent. :rotfl2:

However, the bar up in the stack......the hidden gem.....Outlook....the problem with that one is it's often closed for special events such as weddings, etc. The piano player that was there while we were there was a HORRIBLE singer!! If he had stuck to playing, all would have been well, but he did not.

Meridian, between Palo and Remy's is nice, but really it's full of people waiting for their reservation time!

We did a karaoke on the Magic once, we even had a name for the group (now this was just the men) Out of the 5 guys I really think that only two really could sing, the rest were there because they got pulled into it....
they sang Unchained Melody...I have to say, they did a pretty good job and then they added a song later on that evening which was sweet home alabama...it was a lot of fun...the name of the group "Tiara Bob and the Dreamboats"... Wally was one of them....(he cant sing, but was a good sport)
If we did this again, I'm sure he would "join in"...

When we were on the Magic last year, we would normally just go and have a drink at the Promanade lounge before and then sometimes after dinner. There was a couple who sang, they were really good...but I felt bad for them as there was hardly anyone in the lounge.
There was also this one couple, who would dance, Fred and Ginger as Wally and I called them, they must have taken dance lessons, it was like dancing with the stars.....but on the milder side...;):rotfl:

But I told Wally, good for them, they were making the most of their trip and enjoying themselves...:thumbsup2

Well its another Monday :crazy2:, lets hope today goes better and faster.
