December 7 2006 Wonder Sailing

DS  and I were just talking about what we need to pack for the trip. I haven't started packing, per say, but I do have piles of clothes around that we just might need for our trip. I can't believe it is sooo close but yet so far away!

I did the clothes switch about 3 weeks ago - it get's chilly up here in the Catskills - we've had a few nights that we have gone below freezing.

Counting down the days until we leave :hourglass ...

(Had to add the banana for DS - he is looking over my shoulder as I write this and asked if he could pick some similies to add in).

plgrn- I clicked on your link to your trip report and read it. You did a great job and sound like you had a lot of fun.

:goodvibes Thanks!

We just got dinged from Southwest for BWI to MCO $39 from December 3-19th. Looks like we're going to get a nice credit for another trip!

Hi Everyone!
I stopped by my TA's office today, because I was in the neighborhood and I hadn't talked to her in awhile. She is the kind of TA that will email just to say hi even if I am not going on a trip, great service. She said that my doc's will be in around Nov. 21 or a little earlier. I am about to burst from keeping the cruise from my DD8!! Cannot wait to see her face.

Hard to believe that 30 days from Wednesday we'll be flying down to Disney! We were able to snag an extra night at AKL on the 2nd but I haven't told anyone else yet - it's a surprise :ssst: ! But I had to book it direct through WDW because there is nothing available with DCL - but I am still on a waitlist with them for AKL also. I keep checking the DCL website several times a day to see if anything opens up, but so far nothing.

Either way - we are out of here is 32 days :cool1:  :cheer2: !

Bumping back up to the first page - we are getting sooo close! :cool1:

Anyone interested in checking out recently posted 3 day navigators from the Wonder's 10/19 sailing can find them at: http://www.castawayclub.com/

Thanks for update and link - I had checked the night before and there weren't any 3 day. Now I have even more stuff to drool over while we wait.

ONE MONTH from tomorrow we'll be leaving S. Georgia to Central Florida! :cool1: :cool1: Ok...I just can't wait much longer!! IS IT JUST ME??

It is so cold here today that I am looking even more forward to our cruise!
DS9's football season came to a close today and he has a week off before wrestling so I'm going to try and get our pictures from our May WDW/DCL trip scrapbooked this week. I'm sure it will get us even more in the cruising mood. The DCL ships are so beautiful that I can't stop taking pictures when we are onboard so I doubt I'll even get the scrapbook half done. I was good at cutting down to about 420 pictures for the 10 days we were there (first cruise was a land/sea and I printed 800 out of 1300 I took---thank goodness for digital cameras!)

My parents are now going to also be coming on the cruise to help us celebrate my birthday and our 10th anniversary. They have a guaranteed category 6 but it looks like it's booked so they haven't received a room assignment. We got our TA's to link us together at late dining. We had a late dinner out last week and ds5 was sleeping upright at the table by 8:30 so I don't know how long he'll last on the cruise. I guess we'll have to have him nap (yeah right, he hasn't since he was 18 months old unless in the van). At least he'll finally get to see the onboard shows which he's always fallen asleep during the beginning when we've had early dining/later shows on our other 2 DCL trips.

We asked our TA a few weeks ago about switching to a starboard room, but she also told us they were sold out and we were on a waiting list. I keep checking our DUT and DCL reservation pages and no changes. I'm happy just to be on the ship, but thought we would at least try for starboard. We were on that side on our other 2 DCL trips and loved the location in ports and on embarkation. Again, we will certainly be happy on the port side if it's not possible to change. I can't wait to see the ship decorated for Christmas and all the characters in their holiday attire.

Here's hoping the next month flies by!!!

Hello Cruiser Buddies!

I haven't posted here since we first started this thread!

OUR CRUISE IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER! I kind of feel like I used to as a kid when I knew we were going to an amusement park the next day and couldn't sleep!

This is crazy!

I looked over all the postings...Hanover and Simablic...you guys are my neighbors! I'm in Harford County, MD!

I was also lucky enough to catch that DING fare for Southwest! I must have called everyone I knew that day when I purchased 4 round trip tickets from Baltimore to MCO for only $388.00!

My daughters (DD8 & DD11) are counting down. I share all of your excitement and hope that maybe we run into each other at some point!

Let the 1 month countdown begin!

Sandra04- you are really close! What day are you flying out? We are staying near the airport the night of 12/4 since we have a 9 AM flight and didn't feel like panicking in standstill rush hour traffic to get there by 7AM. Also makes the vacation feel like it starts sooner! We are flying out the morning of the 5th and will do MVMCP that night and hop between Epcot and AK (for the parade) on 12/6.

We love Southwest and their Ding rates. We've managed to get them on our last 3 WDW trips (one was only $34 each way!) and end up with so much credit we're always looking to book another WDW trip just to use it.

I'm sure we'll be at the Mickey pool as soon as we board and eat. We may be wearing our matching blue Castaway Cay shirts. Disney is the only place we've ever all worn them on the same day and at least we aren't clashing in pictures from that day!

How about we make a list of all our current thread members and who we are cruising with.

If you want, cut and paste the following and add your own information so we can get an updated list:

Hanover (Danielle) cruising with DH(Derek), DS9 (Keegan), DS5 (Brennan) currently in stateroom 6060/late dining/staying at CSR before cruise

Hanover's parents Jim and Suzanne
currently in GTY category 6/late dining/ staying near the port the night before
