It appears there is no DISboards Fish Extender group. No one here has said "I'll maintain the list". There are FE groups on other sites, but they are not DISboard FE groups.

Well, then, you'll have to wait and see if anyone else steps up to maintain the list. I wouldn't worry at this point, you have plenty of time for others to join up. Hopefully one of them will do the job.

The easiest way is for people to post their information directly on this thread. However, dependent on what information is being kept, some people feel uncomfortable with posting on a place that's basically visible to anyone happening by.

In my opinion, the "best" option is for anyone who's interested in participating to up their post count to 10 (if they aren't already there) and use the "Conversation" feature. Any information posted via the conversation option is only visible to whoever is participating in that conversation. Conversations can be participated in by up to 20 people.

Another option is exchanging e-mail addresses to exchange information. But, again, you run into that pesky "I don't want to put my e-mail on a public forum" issue. And I totally agree.

I've seen where a few organizers in the past have created a Google Spreadsheet that participants could go in and fill out the requested information - the spreadsheet is locked down so only those who are participating are able to see the info - that way anyone who is super concerned about privacy or putting out too much public information can rest a little easier.

We are a large group, so depending on how many people want to participate in FE at this time we may end up having a couple different groups in this thread - I'm not sure how big you all want the group to be, but from what I've seen in the past it's around 30 or less.

So...we have started a conversation for the fish extender group - we know it's kinda early, but we're just sooo excited!!! Anyone wanting to participate in the conversation will need to get to 10 post counts so that they can join the conversation. We thought this would be the best way to communicate our information (see above post from PrincessShmoo, a DIS veteran - thanks PrincessShmoo!). As soon as you get to 10 posts and you want to join, we will be happy to add you to the conversation up to 20.

Unfortunately, that site is on the "do not post links to...." list. I agree that's so much easier, but something else will need to be worked out now with the restrictions.

If the person wants out of the PM then at the top of the PM there is a "leave conversation" tab. They just need to hit that.

Docs. That's how I set up mine.

While the list can certainly be set up in Google, no links to a Google doc can be posted here. If you want to post the list, you need to convert it to a picture and then just post the picture (either directly on the Cruise Meet thread, or in a conversation).

Awesome, thank you! Do you know how to add and delete people from a private conversation?

As the originator of the conversation, when you open the conversation, scroll down and all the way down on the right side is "Conversation Participants", at the bottom of that is "Invite more". I'm not sure about how to delete participants, but, maybe, if there's more than 2 participants there's also a "Delete" link? All the conversations I've been involved in thus far were only with 2 participants. Sorry.
