Okay, this is the plan - if you all agree - we sign up for the wine tasting on the ship then head off to one of our staterooms to finish our own bottles!
OR we can skip the Disney Wine Tasting and just get into our own bottles and do the tasting in one of our staterooms.

I'm not into dry wines - but since I am driving I will be able to bring some Piersport Riesling (sweeter, white) and a few other kinds that we can enjoy.

AND we can order the cheese tray from room service for our snacks!

Ohhh, this is going to be the cruise to end all cruises!!!

Lampie - where are you, by the way? Too many days without posting - can we count you and your Missus in on this one?

RAE...I just noticed that you're going on a cruise before December....you haven't even mentioned that cruise.....

We may do a quick 3 or 4 night with Barb and Tony...but I don't know yet.

Of course, yesterday we decided to get top of the line appliances for our house....like I want the frig on the Sears commercial where the girl is standing there opening and closing the doors....
Jim wants a dishwasher that is stainless steel so it won't rust...and instead of justing getting new tile for our kitchen floor...we're going to do the bathrooms and laundry room too....
so that may take our 3/4 night cruise money. We'll see.....

Gotta run...I'm actually suppose to be doing real work.....

Phyllis - I have it at the bottom of my signature. It's going to be a nice cruise but the "wild party" is the one I'm interested in!! That's Ann's birthday celebration!

So if we have it at either of your staterooms, you can just stagger back into your room afterwards, ehhhh?

We will set a time limit on it though. Last year the party had some inconsiderates that stayed from 1 (wine tasting started at 2) - they came early and stayed til nearly 6PM - only left because of main dining schedule! Not going to have anyone stuck with unwanted guests this time around - not that we would!!! I know that some of us would just start throwing people either out the door or overboard! (Ohhh, I'm in rare form today!)

It's not far for us to stumble home either phyllis, that is one reason I picked that cabin...

I'm all for a wine & cheese get together! We did that in a cat 6 last cruise. It ended up being the social ladies & we sat & talked for about 2 hours. I wouldn't go to the regular wine tasting but a little meet would be fun. The secret deck sounds great...but it would also be nice to see the inside of a cat 3.

I'll volunteer our living room for a wine/cheese gathering - sounds great! I like the Ladies Tasting idea, too - there is such a thing as too much togetherness with the "others", you know!

IDK about this group, but with the 11/15 group the guys were OK with meeting everyone at the sail away party but none were really interested in the get togethers. We set up the wine & cheese on Wednesday morning as a last minute chance to visit. I know that my DH would gladly take care of the kids...especially with the club being such a hit...than be too social.

How does a 1-3 timeframe work with everyone for the wine & cheese? We could all bring wine or drinks & order cheese & fruit trays from room service?

Below 300?! Wow! The only thing I think about is how soon I can get back on my horses (5 weeks to go!) and how much fun I'm going to have complaining about sore butt and legs!!!

I like the 1-3 timeframe - not sure on the day yet. We should be able to come up with something in the next 300 days! I'll bring the corkscrew and a bottle - it would be interesting to see what kind of wine variety we come up with everyone brings a bottle to sample. I won't even charge that dreaded "corkage fee"!
