On last year's Xmas cruise, there were lots of rooms with lights and little trees in them. I had a small 2 foot tree with little lights. I cut out little Mickey heads from scrapbook paper with a MIcjey-shaped punch and used them as ornaments. We also brought stockings which rested on the sill of the porthole window. (Santa or maybe the elves upgraded us from an inside to a outsid ecabin). Then....I wired together one medium sized and two smaller sized green wreathes into the shape of a Mickey head and made a wreath for the door with a festive bow on it. Don't forget to bring a wreath hanger for the door if you plan on bringing a wreath.
After I bought a DVC membership, I came back to the stateroom to find that I not only had 1 DVC Welcome Home magnet, I had THREE of them. The clever Cast Members placed a Welcome Home magnet in each of the wreathes of Mickey's ears and one in the larger wreath that was his head. Gotta love those Cast Members!!!!

, I was reading that many of you were going to the parks after the cruise for New Year's eve. One word of caution.... we did this last year after the Christmas cruise and I was shocked that by about 11AM the Magic Kingdom was closed for the day due to being booked to capacity! You could NOT get in!!!! We were headed to MGM on the WDW bus when the driver mentioned this. The "big" party was being held at MGM that evening and he told everybody they had better get there soon because he expected they would close that park by 2PM. Soooo....the advice it to pick the park you hope to be in at the stroke of midnight and get there early in the day. It makes it a little cumbersome to HAVE to spend the whole day there but it's probably better than being shut out.
