We hit 8:00 rope drop and it was cold. There was ice on the windshield when we left and the temp said 37 degrees. We usually wear shorts, t-shirts, and flip flops on Christmas in Orange County, and this weather is madness (we don't really, but we technically could).

We did Star Tours twice with a 10, 15 minutes wait.
Matterhorn with 10 min wait
Hyperspace with FP
Buzz with FP
Small a World with 5 min wait
Indiana with FP
Candy Cane Beignets break (amazing)
BTMRR with FP
Pirates with 20 min wait
Haunted Mansion with FP
Splash with 10 min wait
Haunted Mansion with FP
Late lunch at Blue Bayou 3:10
Tiki Room with Maynard!!
Haunted Mansion with FP
Candy Cane Beignets for later!
Home...6:30

Can you tell we are ride people? I am not a parade person. I was in way too many of them growing up.

Crowded, but not insane. It was manageable. I haven't had an annual pass in a while, so it is new and shiny and I wanted to play with it. After two days, my feet hurt (the three surgeries I have had are likely the cause), but it was good for me to walk a lot. It was also cold. I was worried about going on Splash. I hoped anything but my socks would get wet. Of course, my socks were the only thing that got wet. Pants dry, socks under my pants wet. Figures.

Maynard in the Tiki Room. Did not see him, but heard him right away then found him. What a treat!

Disney has been selling these flashy light up ornament necklaces. They are bright! And they are distracting on dark rides. My migraine prone head did not take too kindly to their strobe effect :(

Great trip. Can't wait for more great times at Disney!

Thanks for reading my ramblings!

Sounds like a lovely day! I'm not a huge parade person myself and was also in a lot of them growing up. Maybe it's hazy memories of early mornings getting up to rush, wait, wait, wait, perform that dull our enthusiasm?

Those giant Christmas light bulb necklaces were one of my least favorite things from our trip a few weeks ago. So gaudy and jarring in the dark. CMs came around during a couple of shows to ask people to turn them off. I suppose if you had a small child it might be an easy way to keep track of them, but turn off the flashing part!!

So glad to hear this, my family will be in DLR from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day next year and I have been reading the different threads talking about crowds this time of year (I know that what I read for this year, will not be the same for next year, but I like to prepare myself). We know that we will be going at an insane time, but we will take it in stride. Since we will be staying onsite, we plan to take advantage of MM each morning that we are in a park and to utilize FPs as much as we can. We cannot wait to spend Christmas and New Year's Eve at DLR (this is a first for us). Thank you so much for your review.

For those of you enjoying my observations and ramblings......
We ate at the Blue Bayou for a late lunch. I made reservations 60 days out and when we arrived, I requested a water side table. They let me know it would be a 30-45 minute additional wait (which we were prepared to do). It ended up being only 30. While waiting, at least 30 people came up and asked if there were any openings for dining (there were none, but they took a few phone numbers just in case).

The house salad that comes with the meal is not a typical "house" salad. I enjoyed it, but my other did not. It had blue cheese crumbles, dried cranberries, and a few other things I can't recall.

I had the lunch prime rib and it was very good. The twice baked potato was good too.

My husband had the flat iron steak and it looked a little on the small side. He said it was good too, but didn't like the potatoes au gratin.

Great table and ambience. It had been awhile since we had eaten here and we will definitely be back for a special occasion.

There were too many dessert options outside calling my name.... candy cane beignets, Matterhorn macaroons, dole whips, what to choose? Candy cane beignets round two won :) The even put the sugar in a cup so we could take them home and heat them up.
