Hey there! My family (me, DH, DD (10), DS (6) and I are going to WDW 12/7-12/14...hooray!! I haven't been to WDW since 2007 so I'd love some input on some of our ideas/plans. Here are the things I welcome feedback on, please!

-MVMCP...we haven't bought tickets for this event as it is such an expense and instead thought we would do 5 day park hoppers instead of 4 day park hoppers plus the MVMCP. Are we crazy for missing this? I have FOMO but also want to spend wisely. I loved the MVMCP in 2007, but I'm really weighing the cost. Feedback is welcomed!!

-We are staying in a deluxe resort for our stay and would love to have a clue on if extended Hours are offered during this time. I've seen conflicting things on this and it's definitely harder to plan accordingly because my family is more of a late night type rather than early morning, so if they are offered (or are likely offered), we would love to take advantage of this! Does anyone have any insight into what would likely be offered or when we will know for certain?

-We are planning on one day for KSC. Has anyone does this and do you have any recommendations? Is there a better day to do this than others? I've never been so trying to figure out how to add this in to our trip the best way possible.

-I think we would like to do the Fantasmic dining package to help us with reserved seating. Do you recommend this?

-Do you need tickets purchased and in your MDE before you are able to make your ADRs? We've got our hotel booked, but haven't bought tickets quite yet and our dining window opens in a little over a month. I'm planning on buying tickets soon (once we figure out how many days/MVMCP), but do you NEED them to make your ADRs?

Thank you so much for any and all of your insight and feedback! This is my first time really planning this solo and planning it as a mom so it feels very new and different.

We are going to MVMCP in December for first time in 10 years, even though we have been there during that time frame. There are 2 of us (DS paying for his own). If it were 4 of us I would not be buying tickets and would rather have the 5 day hopper tickets. The price right now is SO MUCH! for what you get.

They haven't announced that far best you can do is look at what is announced (I think October) and plan around that with a backup if they don't work the same.

Can't help but if you don't have a car I do believe there are some tour groups that will get you there and back.

I have not done this in years as we've never had an issue getting in without waiting in the long line and getting a seat. Is it dead center? No. But I'm okay with that. If you want that center location without standing in a long line the package will do that for you. Just depends on your wants.

No. You only need a hotel reservation and even that is only if you want to book with the additional 60+ days.

ENJOY, the planning can be much of the fun!
