December 2024 Check In Thread

I wanted to have dinner at Naples Restaurant in DTD and have watched the times available all week and thought okay I won't have to get up at midnight to book that one, as at 5:00am (Australia time) there have still been plenty of good times available. My plans were thwarted though as I didn't think about the local weekend crowd so when I went in this morning at 5:00am (10:00am LA time) all the good slots were gone. I have booked 4:45pm and I think we will just go and order pre dinner drinks and take our time over those then order dinner in our own sweet time. They can't kick us out right if we want to linger.

We’ve never done Naples so after your message on here I decided to take a look - you’ve influenced me to book it instead of Blue Bayou as I am not interested in a Fantasmic package! :worship:

I know right, their menu looks delicious. We have a non park day on Dec 7th so we are just going to wander round the resort and DTD and then have dinner at Naples. Our party loves Italian food and there is so much on their menu that we will all enjoy. We don't really like spicy food so we struggle a bit in the parks as so many items are too hot for us and we also tend to enjoy bland food so a lot of the restaurants are too fancy for us. You can't beat pizza or pasta though, can't wait. Hope you have a great time too.

Did you check Naples on Opentable? I often find better availability on Opentable for some of the Downtown Disney restaurants. And we love Naples! Really tasty food and fun for a large group or any size family

Thanks for the tip.

I have a Lamplight Lounge reservation for 2 on Dec 7th at 4:30pm that is no longer needed if anybody would like it? We can do-ordinate me cancelling it

We’re headed down to Disneyland Nov 30 - Dec 11. Staying at Worldmark as we’ve done in the past. We haven’t been since 2019 so, of course, everything is different🤣. We always used the ART buses since the stop is right outside the hotel - are they still reliable? I read a few threads that made the service sound iffy now.

We’re a couple of old farts, DH has 2 knee replacements, so we are going into the parks 1-2 days at a time. Five day park hoppers, but didn’t get LLMP in advance. Dining reservations have been interesting - I’ve reserved and cancelled multiple Fantasmic ressies to get what I wanted. Still trying for WOC, but have the dessert party reserved as a back up.

I’m really looking forward to being back at Disney!! My DH is a good sport and comes along for the ride🥰.

Just made our first dining reservation for our arrival day. It’s getting real

Monday will be the tough one with having to have fast fingers for Fantasmic Premium. Wish me luck.
I was trying this week just for the regular Fantasmic Brunch Package at Riverbelle Terrace and found there was still availability for the Premium package about ten minutes after 6:00am so hopefully you will have a similar situation. Sending pixie dust your way. :tink:

Not sure if you knew or not but the WOC restaurants, other than the dessert party, do not seem to come up in the reservation area as a WOC special dining experience. You just book a spot at one of the participating restaurants (Storytellers Cafe or Wine Country Trattoria) and then on the day when you check in at the restaurant you tell them you would like to upgrade to the WOC package. This is what is on the website.

Reservations
Let your host or server know at Storytellers Cafe or Wine Country Trattoria if you would like the World of Color Dining Package. You can make a reservation to dine at either restaurant, but reservations for the dining package are not available online or via the app.

I booked Storytellers Cafe for Dec 6. I hope I am right because I can see that the website is set up the same way as the Fantasmic booking area where you select a viewing time but when you click on these it just takes you through to the Magic Key Terrace. I want the early show so I booked a 5pm spot for dinner which hopefully will give us the early viewing time. I am going to keep checking back in case things change but maybe you should book yourself a time at one of the restaurants just in case.

Thank you! I will look at Wine Country Trattoria and see if there are reservations available!!

I see that Dec 18-20 is blocked out for Magic Key holders except Inspire Key. Hopefully those 3 days will be the sweet spot between Magic Key block outs and pre-Christmas week crowd.

Success! I got all the reservations I planned on. Including the premium Fantasmic package. The only one I would like that didn’t think about until last night is an 8pm Blue Bayou for dessert. Mom wanted to dine there but she didn’t like any of the food options. No a big deal I’d I can’t get it. I set up an alert so maybe I’ll get lucky.

Congrats! Just booked WOC Dessert for Friday night! Now just Fantasmic to go...should be easy as we're only doing RDZ...neither of us can eat park food.
i am hoping we can just get one fruit plate at WOC..🤣. That is, if we end up going at all...I usually make rezzies and the shes too tired to go. Or it rains.

I wouldn't wait on the RDZ reservation. The next couple of months look to be very busy. Where, in the past, RDZ Fantasmic reservations were available for several days, lately they have been selling out.

Anyone seen the storytellers pajama breakfast/brunch come up for December yet? Our dates just came into play, but I’ve been looking at other dates and not seeing it?
