December 2015 Help Thread - What To See & Do (Crowd Calendar Added)

I must have had some major pixie dust when I did my FP. It's almost like it read my excel spreadsheet of the times I wanted! It worked out great. This is my first FP+ trip, and I am going to enjoy sleeping in on my Epcot day instead of the mad race to Soarin. I hope my trip goes as well as my booking.

Same for us. DD managed to get all we wanted without a problem...even managed to book the Mine Train twice (1 during the day and the other at night). Got all our requested times without a problem. :thumbsup2 :tink:

Is a Fantasmic VIP seating with dining required? I managed to get a reservation for lunch at Hollywood and Vine with 8.30 show, but need to know if this is required., or how long is the line to view the show? I'd this something my kids (4,2) would enjoy?

Thank you :)

I hope they add a 12 or 12:30 parade in MK this year as well...! Or else I'll have to rearrange. I also hope the park will open at 8 w EMH at 7..

Favorite Christmas tradition at WDW? Also, do you think its possible to get a picture with Santa? We're missing our annual Santa pics with our photographer back home. I thought I saw something about there being a Santa in Disney Springs. I don't know if I want to go to DS. So much other stuff planned!!

Any thoughts on the Minnie's Holiday Dine at HS Hollywood and Vine. I got a ressie for one night without the Fantasmic pass. I was going to use this in place of Cape May breakfast at Beach Club.

I remember hearing something about Santa being at...EPCOT? or..a resort? I'm pretty sure I asked this a few months ago and now I don't remember :-/ I wonder if anyone ever gets pictures w/ the storytellers at EP?

Yes - lots of different "Santas" in Epcot. We have also seen Santa at DS as well as run into him at some of the resorts.

Santa in Epcot isn't a story teller, he is available for meet and greets.
do you know if we can take pictures with the storytellers? Are the kids allowed to say their Christmas wishes?

I have taken pictures of my kids with the storytellers. It depends on the storyteller. I think the China and Morocco ones were not available for pictures after their story, but I know others were.

Our experience in the past has been positive in getting pictures from many of the Storytellers. We have some great pictures with Storytellers from Norway, England, France, Italy, and Germany. We have pictures with the Three Kings from Mexico, but I believe that they are no longer there. We have never made it to see China and Morocco. We always start with our favorites France, Italy, and Germany and never seem to have enough time to see them all. Maybe this year since we have three EPCOT afternoons planned.

Great thread!
Quick question. I was thinking of going to Epcot on 12/28. How packed is it really? Can anyone tell me if all the fast passes for that dat are gone? Thank you!

Hi! How much of the MVMCP things will be going on the week of Xmas? Will it just be the holiday parade at 3pm and then Holiday wishes? What about the show in Tomorrowland? Thanks!

I don't think it is required....there is still seating for those with out fast passes or VIP seating. I have heard that Fantasmic is scary for some kids. There is a big dragon..maybe watch some youtube videos to see if it would frighten your children? The first time we took my daughter, she was almost 4 and was not scared and she is a pretty scared kid. But she loved the spectacle of it all. My son has always loved it. He saw it when he was 2 for the first time. He still loves it at 9 and can't wait to see it in December. I too love it but this will be our first time seeing it at WDW as we have only seen it at DL previously. Hope someone else can answer your question about the line. If you have the VIP seating you probably don't have to line up too early unless you want front row seats. I am planning to sit near the back because it is easier to escape that way and since we have seen it many times at DL with front row seats am not worried about being close. Good luck and enjoy!

wondering how crowded it will be at the orlando airport the saturday prior to Christmas. arriving 12/19 around 4:30pm and dinner reservations at Boma at 7:30 wondering if I will make it?
