December 2013.

Hi, Laura from Paisley!
I just wanted to say hello to you because my maiden name was Renfrew, and supposedly my ancestors were from your area. :) We will also be in WDW in December (staying at the Grand Floridian) and overlapping your dates. We're going December 2-7. It will be myself, my 11-year-old daughter, and hopefully my husband depending on his work schedule. :)

We're also visiting Scotland in July of 2014, so order up good weather for us, will you? ;)

I was there last year at Pop Warner and will be there again this year at the same time. The crowds were not bad as the kids were at competition all day. I did however stay off site and from what I have heard the value resorts can get a little hectic with all the young kids staying there. But from the parks perspective it was not bad at all, I think this year the crowds will actually be better because this was the week last year that the new Fantasyland opened so there was a crowd for that, but overall nothing bad! :santa:

Thanks - we are at Art of Animation - do you think I should ask for a room away from the pool?

We will be there around the same time Dec 3-8.

Now I do not have experience at the Disney hotels during this time but from what I have heard a room away from the pool seems like a good idea. You might want to do some research though to make sure. Also from what I heard the All star resorts are the ones that fill up quickly as AOA is a "value plus" resort and a little more expensive. I hope this helps and did not further complicate things for you!

Lol - no further complications! Great advice thank you!

Anyone know how the crowds might look for 12/15 - 12/20? Our first time going around Christmas.

Hi everyone:)
I am pretty sure I posted to this thread already but for another quick recap..
We're surprising the kids with a trip from December 13th to the 23th.:goodvibes

I know that I won't be able to book the dessert party until October I think. Does anyone know when the booking for the Fort Wilderness Carriage rides will be open? Is it 90 days? I think I read that somewhere but I can't remember where. We'd really like one for the night we're having dinner at Trails End.
We are paying out of pocket for meals this time as we rented points instead of the using the Free Dining pin code I recieved. We really wanted to stay at Wilderness Lodge for the Christmas season. It will be our first time staying there:)
Summers winding down and my thoughts are turning to our December trip. I'm getting excited!

I believe carriage rides are open to book now. Don't quote me on that I am pretty foggy due to my allergy meds.

I booked my "Sleigh ride" at Ft Wilderness for early December 3 days ago .

Yes, sleigh rides and carriage rides can all be booked at 180 days. When I called last weekend to book ours, they still seemed to have many times available, so you should be fine booking now, but I wouldn't wait much longer to call. Also, full payment is due by credit card at the time of booking, just FYI.

Thank you guys. But GRRRRRRR!!!:headache:
I called well under 180 days and they told me they weren't open and they didn't know when they would be. The next time I called they said they weren't sure but they thought it was 90 days out. I'll try calling now. I should know better and just ask Dis'ers first.
