December 2013: We just booked!

Joining in the fun. Will be staying at POFQ 12/19-12/29. I can't believe it's almost time to make ADRs!

REALLY! I think you might be my doppelgänger. Lol. We are staying at WL (DVC) and the 11th is our Epcot/CP day!! Talk about crazy!!

That is so funny! We live on opposite coasts though. I am in the Mid Atlantic Region.
I think our schedule differs a little. We arrive on 12/7 and do 1/2 day at DHS. Then EPCOT on 12/8. MK on 12/9. AK on 12/10. Will probably go to DD after dinner. EPCOT on 12/11. MK on 12/12. A day at SW on 12/13. We are thinking for our last day on 12/14 to play mini golf and do the Garden View Tea in the afternoon. How many are in your party? It will be 3 adults that consists of me, my husband, and my Mom. We don't have kids unless you count our fur baby.

I thought it was tomorrow but googled a planning calculator to be sure and it says my booking date is June 17th. So I then actually counted out 180 days and also came up with June 17th

This has happened before! I usually use a couple of sites for finding the date. I'll just pick one and input it and write down what my date for reservations will be. One of them must be wrong because I was off by exactly this many days on another trip.
So just so I am sure.. Our reservation starts December 14th. That means I can book my 180+10 on Monday June 17th right?
This is actually a good thing because I am still tweaking some plans and wasn't feeling sure about them. This will give me the weekend to obsess and run numbers and look at menus

We check in on December 14 and I'm planning to be up at the crack of dawn on June 17th with my fingers hovering over the redial button until I hear the pixie dust jingle at the other end of the phone!

We have small ones; terrier mixes and a bichon frise. All from the pound except the bichon; he was so lonely at the pet store I HAD to save him.

Our trip is scheduled...ADR's made and airfare purchased...we are arriving on 11/30 and departing 12/11...we are staying at the Treehouse Villas and we are excited...hope we get one near the water because i am bringing some lights down to decorate!!

Thanks! Since this is the surprise trip I couldn't ask the kids for their input. I went with Rose and Crown for dd as it's her favourite. I picked TRex for ds because he loves it! Dh always wants Ohana. I had a BOG for our August trip but decided we'd prefer to do it on the Christmas trip so that's my choice.
The WCC breakfast is because that day is the MVMCP so we're going to sleep in, enjoy a nice breakfast at our hotel and spend the afternoon touring the Bay Lake resorts to see the Christmas decorations before the party.
We really enjoyed Trails End last summer so I booked it again and we'll try to get a carriage ride to see the Holiday decorations afterwards.

I hear you on the CP package. We're paying out of pocket for meals this trip and the price is steep. But, this is our first, and perhaps only, Christmas trip so I want to make sure I see the special things there are to see at this time of year. I'll do Via Napoli or Biergarten to attempt to keep the price down.

We have always paid for meals OOP. Our last trip a few years ago we bought a Disney Gift Card the summer before our Thanksgiving Week trip that we put on it the amount we thought we would spend on food and water. I paid for this with my Disney Visa so I had time to pay it off and I earned rewards points at the same time.

A lot of us have had success with getting a BOG ADR. I suggest trying the website first, since it gives you an hour head start over the phone in people. Online opens at 6am Eastern time and phone in is at 7am.

I had no trouble getting BOG online yesterday. It was 7:30 a.m. before I was able to get on and book as well. There were plenty of times to choose from and I got a 5:15 on one of our MK days

Does the online offer the ability to book the 180+10 Now, or is it just the 180 day mark? Last time I tried it...(in 2012), it wouldn't let me.
