December 2012 - Who's in, who's wait listed and who's out

Well, we're half-way through the (dare I say last) booking period for the joyous low point December period.

Who's going in 2012? Who got what they wanted? Who's there but with the wrong view/resort/room size? Who's wait listed and who said no to 2012?

Our first holiday trip was December 2010. It was GREAT. We're heading back for December 2012. Had to call MS 3x in order to use our two home resorts.

11/30-12/1 (Fri/Sat) at BWV, standard view studio
12/2-12/6 (Sun/Thu) at BLT, theme park view 2BR (holy points even low period)
12/7-12/8 (Fri/Sat) at BWV, boardwalk view 2BR

Used our 11 month window to get the number of days we wanted. At the 7 month mark we'll try to move the 12/7-12/8 dates over to BLT to not move twice.

We were able to get what we wanted using the 11 month window. Hopefully at 7 months we can get the change we want.

I booked 5 nights at VWL for the week after thanksgiving. I called a few days past the 11 month booking window and in the late afternoon and the studio was available.

I booked 2 studios for a long weekend at VWL. We'll pay cash for DS's family for that weekend for a cabin at Ft. wilderness. We love spending some time in December at VWL, and the family thought they would like to try FW!

I don't plan to change the VWL, but later this month I'll be trying to book BWV for a NYE stay, 4 or 5 nights.

Booked an MK view one bedroom at BLT for 12/2 - 12/4/12. Called on 1/2. Still need a 2 bedroom at OKW for 12/5 - 12/8/12. Haven't called for that yet.

I booked 12/1 to 12/5 in a SV studio at BWV for my DH and DD who will be going. No problems at all!

Booked 12/1 - 12/8 for a Grand Villa with savanna view at AKV (Kidani) waitlisting for Jambo though.

Called on 1/2 for a OKW GV for 12/1 thru 12/7, got it. Wanted the HH area did not get it but am wait listed for it.

Got everything /I wanted for a BWV trip 11/21-Dec 2 one grand villa, a 2 bedroom boardwalk view, and 7 boardwalk view studio/s. I walked thru the grand villa but everything else called exactly at 11 month window to get first seven days and then daily after that. Thrilled if we can all be close together like last time.

Called on Jan. 5th for our Dec. 5 - 12th OKW reservation.

Called on 1/2 for 2 studios at SSR. I didn't expect any problem because SSR is large and didn't have any. No - I won't try to switch my reservations at the 7 month mark.

Just modified this trip. Wanted to use my BLT points to change 12/3 to 12/5 to a SV studio at BLT...it was gone...so we ended up with a LV studio--could have gotten TPV as well.

So, the trip is now 12/1 - 12/3 at BWV SV studio and 12/3 - 12/5 in a BLT LV studio. We did put in a wait list for SV studio at BLT.

5 days in and the SV studios are gone! Hopefully, though, we are high enough up on a wait list that there is a chance of it coming through before next October, the 31 day mark.

We are booked for a lake view BLT Dec. 1-9 th. We are wait listed for a standard view. I don't like wasting points on a view bc honestly we wake up and leave the room and come back just in time to get ready for bed.

We just reserved a 1 bedroom standard view at BLT for Dec. 8-14. We had heard that the standard views were going fast but we had no problem. We called right at 9:00 this morning. We were just at BLT, one of our home resorts, in a 1 bedroom lakeview for the same week this past Dec. and really loved staying so close to the MK and all the Christmas activities. We decided to try a standard view to save points since we are not really in the room that much and you can always go to the TOTW for the views and fireworks. Needless to say we are already counting down the days.

booked December 3rd thru the 13th, BLT. wanted a Studio Theme park view the whole trip but had to waitlist it for the first (12/3) night. Took a Lake View for that night which isnt a big deal- just wont unpack the first night. the rest of the trip we got Theme park view no problem!

I called yesterday and got through at exactly 9 am and couldnt get a standard view blt studio for 1night, dec 7, a fri night I was a little suprised since it was omly 1 night, but i waitlisted and booked a studio at wl with my husbands points.
