this is our WDW arrival day too.....we're planning on WPE for lunch also! We're not doing any parks with the semi-exception of Epcot. We're doing the Illuminations cruise so we may or may not check it out after Illuminations...more than likely we will just go back to Boardwalk and maybe see what's going on in JellyRolls?

I am contemplating Fantasmic but if we go it won't be until the 16th! Tuesday the 11th is our big MK day.....like you we decided that party days were good days to see a lot at MK...plus we are going to MVMCP that night. THAT will be a very long day for us....fortunately we're both night owls. lol. We're using some snack credits at Starring Rolls while at DHS and we're going to 50's Prime Time Cafe. It's a favorite of mine ;)

Our Epcot day too! We're doing CP package the next day, though.....and I'm allergic to shellfish so Coral Reef is out for us (much to hubby's dismay)! I wish we could squeeze in R&C but we may have to run in for an ale at some point ;) This is our day for Le Cellier and I'm happy to be able to go before it goes up to a 2 TS lunch in 2013!

We're also hoping for BOG on our full MK day of Tuesday. This may sound crazy but I'm actually thinking of doing the QS at BOG for lunch and the TS for dinner. Now, if it ISN'T open, I'm just going to counter service all meals. BOG will be out of pocket anyway. I think a Main Street cinnamon roll will be on the menu for us :yay: If you need a TS what about Liberty Tree Tavern? We've always had good food there.

This is our AK day too! We're planning on QS at Flame Tree BBQ AND QS Yak&Yeti :) Maybe a snack credit pretzel too. I think we'll tour AKL this day as well and maybe hang out at our resort in the evening. We're doing Ohana the next night.

We'll do DHS on this day. It's an EMH in the a.m. so we're hoping to ride the big 4 in the morning. :woohoo: I like that you left the day open to revisit at your discretion. It's good to leave some things up for re-arranging as needed. Now what do you mean "touring plan"? Like what rides to ride and when? I've got the parades lined up on the calendar and obviously we'll get fast passes when available but other than heading straight to TSM while at DHS and Soarin' while at Epcot, I don't know how much more I can plan. This planning stuff can make you crazy! I've already lost sleep over this trip and it's months away. I secretly think hubby thinks I'm losing it. :rolleyes1

Lol I like to be very prepared, but not stress , we have never been to wdw ever before, this is a little treat my husband is giving me for my birthday which ironically is Christmas day. Now we decided to take the kids in September 2013, they will be about 2 and a half and 15 months. My goal for this trip being me and my husband is do most or all the rides we wont be able to do with them. To insure that I subscribed to touring plans via the recommendation of the unofficial guide to wdw. They have plans for late arrival to theme parks or holiday plans and you can customize these. I will see how bad the crowds are and follow the plans accordingly. If BOG is open and the menu is good we might do both QS and TS too. Nice. Are schedules are so close we might cross each others paths more then once lol.

So all you POR guests... Have you made room requests?? Magnolia Bend or Alligator Bayou?? is there away of figuring out where they have "placed" you? I don't know what I want. I have to stay that in pictures I am drawn to the elegance of Magnolia Bend but, I know that the rustic rooms can be fun!

We are in a garden view room preferably I'd like to be near a quiet pool, as we bring about half the clothes we need and wash mid way.....not to far away from a bus stop but not the last bus stop, either! Any recommendations to ask for a room request?

Oh, gosh...I subscribed to touringplans.com as well! I don't remember the thread but one of the gals posted a picture of the LimeGreenMickey that DISers wear while at the parks. Wear it and I'll be sure to give you a big Hello when I see it!

Count us in for Dec! We decided last week to take the kids on a surprise trip. We're having baby #4 this year (due Sept 20th) so have been telling the kids we couldn't go until next year. Then a couple of things happened this year and DH and I decided we all could use the vacation....I've never surprised the kids before (have DD 15, DD 9, and DS 3). We're staying at ASMu (got 2 rooms because MIL is also coming along). Dec 10-15. We'll probably drive down to get there on SUnday though. Still deciding if I'm going to book sunday night at ASMu or stay at another hotel. Planning on checking out the resorts Sunday to get us in the christmas spirit.
I've made all adr's except for one (BOG of course!)
So far my plans are
10th - MK (hopefully with BOG)
11th - AK, Raglan Road for dinner
12th - HS, Scifi for dinner
13th - Epcot, San Angel Inn for dinner (although thinking about switching to La Haciends. ANyone have any thoughts on this?)
14th - MK Breakfast at Crystal Palace.
15th - home. :-(

Still debating on whether we will do CP or not. I know MIL and I would love it but I'm not sure about the 9 and 4 yr old. Also thinking about cutting out one of the table service meals one day and going to Fultons for dinner one night instead but not sure yet.

Your plan mirrors mine on the 12th, 13th, and 14th! We have a Sci-Fi ADR at 4:45 on the 12th. That's way early for me to eat dinner, but I want to be finished in time to see the Osbourne Lights turn on.

We are doing the CP package at Via Napoli on the 13th. You could give it a try, and sit at the back of the theater in case you need to duck out.

We're also spending our last day at the MK. Are you going to attend the Christmas party?

Wow, and I'm worried about one little puppy. ;-)

She's a corgi. It's all still a little overwhelming because DS9 has anxiety issues and two months ago was terrified of dogs. Then he decided that having a dog to bond with would be good for him. When he first told me, I was shocked. But he was serious and when we set about meeting some dogs, he did amazingly well. I never really liked dogs and DH was attacked by one as a small child so he had his own anxiety issues. A dog just wasn't anywhere on our radar. But DS has a lot of issues and the more we thought about it, we knew this would be really good for him. So we narrowed down to a couple breeds and ended up taking him to this corgi picnic. Then we met a breeder who already had a litter and in less than two months... New puppy.

It's still kind of amazing. But, on the plus side, DSis (who lives with us) has a lot of dog experience, including obedience and show training. So she knows everything we needed and will guide the training. So we're well-prepared, but it's still a huge change. Definitely something to keep me occupied until Disney. (And yes, I added doggie daycare to my trip planning. There are several great facilities near us.)

That makes total sense - my DD was terrified of dogs. Friends had to lock theirs away. It was awful. I figured by getting a dog - a puppy, it would cure her fear because she would see it grow, connect with it and see there is nothing to be scared of. Hubby thought I was crazy. But, it worked. The two are inseparable now :goodvibes My Sally is half retriever half doberman :)

I'm excited for you - dogs are awesome! My fav :) We also have 3 cats, 4 parakeets, 2 rabbits, 2 snakes and 6 fish :teeth: 1 of the cats, the parakeets & rabbits were all rescued - I'm a sucker if I hear an animal needs a home lol

We have a Royal Room - they are only in Oak Manor & Parterre Place. I have requested Oak Manor as that is nearest to the foot bridge over to main building. If you have any questions, join us on the Resort board in the Port Orleans Riverside official thread. Andre mods it and he also has a great website portorleans.org He has a section all about Room Requests that is really helpful :)

Watching behind the magic Disney holidays and it's basically there Yuletide tour lol. I'm so excited, even though I never been to Disney but am in love with Disney movies. I really obsessed about Christmas it the most wonderful time of the year lol. It's so magical itself it probably a million times amped at the happiest place on earth. P.s I'm watching it on YouTube.

I can't help you with your decision since I never stayed there, but once you decide you should consider faxing the room assigner 10 days prior to your arrival. I did this at Pop and requested to be put in a particular building on the 3rd floor, at any of 10 rooms, and my request was granted. I know there are no guarentees, but I would think that a faxed request would be your best chance over a request on your reservation.

OK off topic. I would love for my son, who is ten, to have a pen pal and am wondering if anyone is up to it- a real, snail-mail pal. Then maybe they could meet up at WDW? Let me know if your dates overlap mine and if you are interested.

Our son also has anxiety issues including riding on some park rides. We are already prepping him for some rides at WDW by showing him on YouTube. He swears he is going on Tower of Terror this year. How does your son do with the rides? Only this year was he able to get close to firecrackers and hold sparklers on July 4th. They have to make accomodations for him at school during fire drills, etc.

Our Scifi is actually lunch (I don't know why I wrote dinner....guess the pregnancy brain! haha!) We have a 12:30 ADR. What time do the lights come on?
Thats a good idea about sitting in the back for the CP, maybe we'll do that.

I always feel like I have to start and finish our trips with MK. I am a bit nervous about the level 6 crowds that are predicted for Monday but I just cant imagine going to any other park.
I want to do the christmas party but we are going to play it by ear. Since this is a last min trip we're not sure if we'll have the extra money to get in or not so we'll see how well we stick to our budget over the next few months! :-)
Have you been to it before?

No, I've never been to the Christmas party. Our last trip was in October, so we went to the Halloween party. That was a blast! I'm hoping this will be equally so. :)

We went last Sept and didn't get to go to the halloween party. I really wanted to but couldn't talk DH into it. Maybe next year.
