Ok, so my boss said to go ahead and stick with my vacation!! I do need to change my dates a tiny bit....

So my new info....

12/1 - 12/9 PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE!!!!!!!!

:santa:

Congrats on everything working out! New jobs are always exciting :) Especially when they allow for trips to Disney!

Welcome to the POR army. As the newbie, you'll have to carry all of the rest of the army's luggage and stop by Fulton's daily to pick up our purchases and pictures.

Oh yeah... Congrats on the new job. :thumbsup2

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I am really excited!! The only bummer is I am having a hard time getting some of my ADR's now! Oh well! wse'll be at Disney...we won't starve and I could def. lose a few pounds. The "plan" is now"

12/1: Not arriving until 7:15pm
12/2: O'hana, Magic Kingdom, Rest, DHS for Osborne Lights
12/3: Epcot, Biergarten Lunch, Short Rest, 7pm MSEP & Wishes at MK
12/4: Magic Kingdom, Pirates League, Whispering Canyon
12/5: DHS, Sci Fi Lunch, Beaches & Cream, Epcot
12/6: DTD, 4pm MVMCP, 5pm Harmony Barbershop
12/7: Animal Kingdom, BOMA
12/8: Epcot, Le Cellier Lunch, Pick where we want to go afterwards
12/9: 8:05 Crystal Palace, MK or DTD, Flight home 7:00pm

What I want now that I can't get... Is I'd like my 12/2 Ohana and 12/9 Crystal Palace to be swapped. So I don't actually need an extra park ticket on that last day (it's only $10 but I feel like we will have had enough of the parks by then). And I'd like to get BOG of course.

Oh and would us POR guests like to plan a few meet ups? Maybe I can make a spreadsheet on google docs? Those wanting to go to the bar can meet there...those who can't ditch the kiddos then maybe at the campfire?

My parents came home earlier today and gave me two packages they had gift wrapped. One looked like a DVD case, the other looked was an envelope. They started by saying they had gotten my grades from college a few weeks ago, and realized they never gave me a present for finishing paramedic school.

I opened the DVD shaped thing first, and it was a Photopass+ package. I had been debating this for a long, long time, and I was super excited to get it. They said the good thing about Photopass+ was that it would give Abby and me pictures from all the rides and character meals.

Next, they had me open the envelope, which had a brochure for the Disney Deluxe Dining plan. pixiedust:

Mom explained that she and my dad thought the upgraded dining plan would work well with the Photopass+. So her and dad would pay for Photopass+, and the difference in price between the standard dining and the deluxe dining.

After a crazy week (two midterms, an essay that was worth 40% of the final semester grade, and an overload of hours at work), this was exactly the pixie dust I needed!

I just finished reworking ADRs and timing, and I can't wait! Only 145 more days :thumbsup2. PTR is updated with the new plans if anyone is curious.

After seeing all the ADR ideas, I'm thinking what I should do for food!!! YUM!! Just a poll, How much do you plan for food to cost you? Do you pay OOP? Are you paying for a meal plan?

I've generated some numbers for my family and the dining plans consistently saves us about $15 -$30/day. The Quick Service is $15 savings for us and Regular Dining Plan is about $15 for a "cheaper table service location" or over $30 for a "more expensive location". Even if we have to pay OOP for a couple breakfasts at the hotel, we will still be paying less on a dining plan. I'm thinking Regular Dining Plan may be the way to go. We can hit all the great character meals, take a breather from running commando (this term still cracks me up), and our overall experience will be better I think enjoying 1 meal a day at a table service meal.

OOP doing only counter meals we were still averaging about $100/day so $119/day for Regular Dining Plan (+ tip of course) seems worth it.

And I really shouldn't of wandered over to the DISigners area....Now I drafted a Mousekeeping envelope... :rotfl:

Your tag and envelope are so creative and put me I'd the Christmas mood seeing Mickey all decked out for the holidays, thanks lol..... What program did you use to create those?

Just booked our trip - was a feat to get all of our schedules and vacations to match up but we will ALL be there 12/13 (THANK YOU Free Dining!). Just paid the deposits to AAA for 3 rooms/packages! One for my Oldest DS, DIL and Grandson, 1 for my DD and her beau and one for me and my other DS! Now counting the days!! :woohoo:

Picture in my ticker is of our LAST family vacation December 2010 (yes, it was COLD that year!!) but one member was missing - DS#2 was still in Army and couldn't join us - this year he'll definitely be there!!!

Wholey Crud!! What an awesome gift!!! I wish my parents were as cool. They think I am nutso for going to Disney without kids.

I think I am finally happy with our ADRs.

Arrival day we will be eating at Teppen Edo.Dinner at Biergarten for our full epcot day (hubby request). Doing the Fantasmic Package at Mama Melrose's for our HS day. Eating at Boma's after our AK day. Starting off our MK day by breakfast at the castle (my request) and ending it with dinner at O'hana's. Our final day will be a half day at Epcot with dinner at La Hacienda.

I gave some not so subtle hints to the hubby last night that a chocolate slipper dessert at Cinderella's Royal Table would be a great anniversary present. ;) ;)
