I called and said I had a visa and had heard there was free dining available and she pulled it up. At first I didn't mention the visa card and she didn't even look just said no it wasn't available.

We are going to be in a Royal Room as well from December 9 - 18. Room only on the 9th and re-check in on the 10 to get the free dining. First trip over Christmas...can not wait!!

Okay called back and was able to upgrade free dining to deluxe dining without changing our room, without a problem. If at first you don't succeed call back and talk to someone else. LOL

I am in the same exact boat as you are. But all hope is not lost. Between now and August, Disney will release a few other offerings and, maybe even, and augmented Free Dining offer.

You just gotta keep hope alive, keep your eyes and ears open and, like Walt says, "Keep moving forward."

We have ADR to Kouzzina. Looking forward to trying it. We LOVE Greek food. YUM YUM YUM We are doing an early dinner there and then going to head to DHS to see Osborne lights.

We are also going on our arrival night....December 3rd! I think our ADR is for 6:30 if my memory is correct.

I still have my Home Depot LGMH from 2010. Kept it in my lanyard. But since I didn't get noticed last trip, I think I might have to go bigger. I blame myself. I mean, how noticable can a 1.5" x 2" paint card be on a 6' 315 lbs man?

Free dining is when WDW has a special offering of the Disney Dining Plan for free during certain dates and at certain resorts.

LGMH stands for Lime Green Mickey Heads and it is how DISers identify each other in the parks!

LGMH is a mickey head shaped paint chip/sample from the Disney paint line that you used to be able to get at Home Depot. DISers use them to identify themselves.

Hey everyone,

I hope its okay if I hop in (on?) your thread . I just finished booking our Christmas trip to Orlando and am so darned excited . We arrive December 23rd and fly home on December 30th. Coming from the Great White North, we are super pumped about spending the holidays in the Florida sunshine!!!

Now, to be fair, this is not a Disney trip (not yet, anyway ). We are staying on property at SeaWorld (at the Residence Inn in a one bedroom suite) so will be doing SeaWorld and Aquatica. I am guessing Discovery Cove will also be added in before we're done as hubby has an Aquatica AP so we can get a fantastic rate. We were sooooo hoping to get in on a MVMCP but the last date offered in the 21st . That has left us truly bummed.

Even though we have no Disney days planned, I was hoping it would be okay for me to plan along with the rest of you and get excited about the holiday season (its my favourite time of year!!). DH and DS share my passion for family fun, and both asked "Santa" for a family vacation in lieu of a traditional Christmas at home.

We have a week in Orlando also planned for August 26th to September 2. And we spend New Years week 2012 in Orlando as well (that was our Christmas 2011 family gift). So I am getting ready for all those folks who will feel the to lament ... "You're going back, AGAIN?!?!?!?"

Visa Card Holders free dining has opened up!!! Call and check your dates. I GOT FREE DINING! I GOT FREE DINING!

Just saw that when I came on the Boards today. Unfortunately, we can't use it even though we have the Disney Visa card. We don't have enough room on the card, plus we booked with a TA this time around.

The wait for Thursday is killing me and driving me ! Must...have...that...code...for...free dining!

I found one on the DISigner board a while back. But I ended up just making sime myself out of green paper. They're bigger than the original paint chips and laminated. I put them on jump rings and attached one to my chest-harness camera bag and one to DSis's wheelchair.
