See, I already came up with a question.

Is it worth it to book the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package? Would this be something we would want to do when our 180 day window opens up?

The CP packages won't be ready until much later, August if I recall from last year. We haven't done it so I can't say if it's worth it. Don't book a restaurant in anticipation of it though since that gives you no advantage whe the actual packages open up. Only book in advance if you'll eat there anyway if you miss out on a package.

Just booked our December trip yesterday! We'll start our drive from Indiana late on December 25 and will check in at Pop Century on December 26. Checking out on December 31.

*** updated due to a change in our resort *** My boyfriend and I are taking my daughter Aubree (she will be 6) -

Thanks for the responses re: which MVMCP would be best. I'm thinking Sunday might be our best bet and it's in a bit better position for us to sleep in the next day.

If the tickets go on sale 5/1 for the party, I guess they release the official schedule soon? I saw the November calendar released and saw MK closing at 7pm but I didn't see that they officially say it's for the party. Just curious.

Less than 8 months to go :rotfl:

We are booked for our first family trip to WDW arriving 11/30 thru 12/8/12 and staying at Fort Wilderness Campground!!

Is it confirmed that the MVMCP will go on sale May 1st? There is nothing on the Disney site or allears.com yet.

I'm bringing the family for 5 nights starting on 12/10 and staying at BLT. It will be myself, DW, DD(4) and DD(2). I have been to WDW about 4 times before, with the last being in 2006. It will be the first time for my DD's.

I'm looking forward to the awesome location of the BLT and hopefully scoring an ADR to CRT for my daughters. For me, I want to do TSM because I've heard so much about it.

I also dug up a few photos of when my parents took me to WDW when I was around 4. I plan on trying to take new photos of my family in as close to the same poses and spots as possible. I think it will be cool to put both photos side by side in the same frame or album.

I haven't read the whole thread yet , but I had to come on and say I just booked CR TPV for Dec 9-14!!!!!! pixiedust: I cannot wait to see the castle from my balcony, especially with the lights!!!!!:banana:
We went last December the same week and had a great time. Loved the Osbourne Lights. Saw Neil Patrick Harris at CLP in the pouring rain.
Didnt do MVMCP last year. Not sure if it is worth the $$ for us, but still considering it.
Disney at Christmas is AMAZING!!!

Hi T-Man, another Nebo-ite here! ;) :thumbsup2

I definitely recommend CPDP! We so enjoyed that in '08. It was nice having a guaranteed seat, instead of hovering at the back of the theater (like we usually end up doing for concerts there). And our dinner was excellent as well.

The narrator we had was Brian Stokes Mitchell. He's not as famous as most that are featured, but we recognized him as an actor/singer that we had seen before, and he did a fabulous job. Point is, no matter who you end up seeing, I think you'll really enjoy the presentation!

tofubeast,

We were originally booked for Pop Century, but when Art of Animation's standard room section came available, we jumped on it. So our entry for 12/29 needs to be changed to AoA!! :cool1:

Thanks!!

I've been sending Nebo PM's and asking him about some to this stuff. Can you believe he's not going to do an April TR?

I let Lady H (one of the many names give to DW by Nebo) know about this. She said it sounded fun as well. So we're definitely giving it some consideration. So I guess my next question is, how does one go about booking the CPDP?

Put us down for the Nov 24 into Dec 9th. we are a group of 23 Staying at ASMusic suits. Waiting for our 180 Day mark to come....

So I guess my next question is, how does one go about booking the CPDP?

Step 1: Monitor Disboards and other sights for the date that CPDP opens up

Step 2: Wake up EXTRA early that morning

Step 3: Drink at least 3 cups of strong coffee

Step 4: Dial (on at least 2 phones) the CPDP #

Step 5: Login to Disboards and feel the community of all those that are suffering with you for the next 60-120 minutes of being on hold listening to the sound track of every Magic Kingdom ride and attraction. Brrrrrrr... I can still hear Gilbert Godfied in my head in his song with the Tiki Birds

Step 6: Get resrvation (hopefully get 1 of your top 3 picks)

Step 7: Slash your tire and call AAA, so that you can explain to your boss that you had a flat and weren't late because you making a CPDP reservation

Ok so our plans changed again. My best friend and I have decided to do something crazy that we have talked, dreamed and laughed about but never thought we'd really do it until now. So here goes our plan and no backing out now we bought airline tickets

12/1-12/6 OKW-if EMH stay the way they have been we will hit MK at 0800 do as many rides in 2 hours as we can and get to the airport for a 1200 flight to

DISNEYLAND

Making it to Orange County airport at 4p.m. and Disneyland shortly after to hit as many of the same rides we did at MK.

12/6-12/9 Paradise Peir

Crazy you may say and the answer you will get is yes we are. Why you may ask. Answers: Why not, to say we did, because we are crazy, ect.....

Sounds like a lot but we are really excited about this and can't wait.

Step 7 may be a little bit of a problem. I don't have AAA. :rotfl:

We will be arriving Dec 2nd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For now, we are off property at The Hawthorn Suites on Westwood. We're staying 7 nights and will be hitting all 4 major parks.

Hi all we will be going to WDW from Dec 22/23 through Jan 5/6. We are staying off resort at the Solana rental homes. We have never been during xmas and I am looking forward to the osbourne lights the most! I have 2 questions I was wondering if anyone could answer.
1)When can we book our christmas day supper. I am really hoping to book supper for a group of 8 at cinderellas castle
2)Will thee crowds be roughly the same as spring break. The 1st time we went was 2nd week of april and crowds were huge!

Super duper exctited to be going again vacationu rental is booked and we are just waiting for a seat sale for our flights.

Christmas through New Years are the heaviest crowds of the year, with parks closing to capacity. At a certain point, even those with prepaid ADR's might not get in. So if you're doing CRT on Christmas Day, I would advise being there at rope drop and staying through your dinner.

I think crowds the day or 2 before Christmas will be similar to what you saw on spring break. From there through the 1st, even worse. It might let up a bit on the first, but still stays busy (not park closing busy though) through the first few days of January. Plan most of your touring for the first couple and last couple days. Plan your amience gathering days in between. :goodvibes

I got into a bad accident on the highway yesterday. I'm 90% sure my car is totaled, I won't find out till Monday or Tuesday....the first thing I think of is DISNEY :rotfl: Just hope if we are buying a new vehicle it doesn't stop the going to Disney budget.... I'm okay by the way....just a bunch of bumps and bruises and sore, but I walked away with 1 cut....on my pinky finger!! LOL.
