i haven't done Disney in Dec. in a while, so my question is, will i be able to get away with t-shirts and jeans daytime and maybe a light jacket/hoodie at night ?
Thx

It all depends on if a cold front is coming through. It can be hot, it can be cold, it can be in between. The trick is layering. Chances are though, you'll be wearing what you wrote!

You can only answer that if you can tell the future. For a December trip, you have to prepare for the worst but hope for the best. It can be bitter cold with highs in the 40's........... or it can be hot with highs in the 80s. Prepare for all of it, or you could face the very expensive prospect of outfitting your family in cold weather gear at Disney park prices. :scared1:

Cape May- seafood buffet

Fulton's- fish/seafood

Le Cellier- steak

Yachtman- steak

Thank you for the suggestions I did try and get Le Cellier but could get anything for the whole 9 days we will be in Disney World... :confused3

I tried to get a Le Cellier lunch reservation for 8 and nothing showed as available online. When I tried 4, a time showed and then I was able to book a 2nd one for 4 by calling the dining line. :thumbsup2

Hopefully, we'll get tables near each other.

Unfortunately that is common! Many reservations "sell out" within minutes of opening at the 180 day mark! Keep trying back if it's something you really want! Cancellations happen daily, but of course, they always fill right up!

I didn't notice your dates, but I'm considering cancelling my Le Cellier ADR... It's 12/1 at 2pm for 4 people.

Just today we've decided to do a December vacation to Disney World. This is our family's 2nd trip! Our first trip was May 2008 and it was a wonderful time. I figure this time I wanted to wrap my two most favorite things together. Disney and Christmas!

Now to start planning! We're thinking the first week of December. I'm hoping to book the vacation soon, so I can book ADR's. We'll most likely stay at POFQ, since we really loved that resort and it's charm. We may want to stay at WL during that time with the pretty decorations.

Yay!! You will love it! One of my favorite times to visit.

We stayed at WL our very first December WDW trip, way back in 1997, I think. My company had the Magic Kingdom Club card and I was able to save 30% on that stay....those were the days! Anyway we absolutely loved staying there and the decorations were incredible (and I think of that trip every year when I put up my christmas tree)....we bought several ornaments at the shop there which is a great reminder of that trip! Hurry and book so you can get some good ADRs!

Went through the Disney box today with the kids to take inventory :dance3: That always makes us excited!!! I need to buckle down and list all of the hundreds of projects I need to get done and start doing them!! Anyone else have "disney crafts" to do??

I can't wait! The kids are extra excited about going again!

It looks like WL will be too expensive. I hope to tour it on our day off and book a meal there. POFQ it is!

I hope to book this trip by the end of next week. I want DH to get it cleared through work first. Time to work out resaurants we want to go to.

We did this stuff when the kids were little but this trip it's just me and dh.....and he isn't too keen on crafts :rotfl2: I, however, will certainly get all my disney scrapbooking materials together, and maybe keep an eye out for fun embellishments between now and December. I haven't scrapbooked for about a year now but I hope this trip is just the kick in the pants I need to get back into it! I've always made special albums to house these precious memories.....

I do have a folder I keep with ideas and maps and reservation printouts. It's sort of my "trip planning" bible! What sort of crafts are you planning? I had a friend that decorated canvas bookbags that her and her little girls worked on for their last trip....they were cute and practical too!

I always do some sort of theme involving goodie bags. Plus invitations, notes and mousekeeping envelopes from the Creative DISign board. Last trip I did a birthday surprise for DS9. The trip before that I went totally overboard. To much stuff. I had a 1 1/2 suitcases just with "pixie dust" presents. ;)

This time I'm doing a 12 Days of Christmas Theme (we'll be there for 12 nights/13 days). I already found a small tree on Amazon that I'm going to have shipped to the resort. I plan to make ornaments for it. This week I've been working on choosing small gifts for everyone. Not to the crafty part yet.

That's what we're planning. I have two off days dedicated just to resort touring, something I've always wanted to do and will be even better with Christmas decorations. :goodvibes We'll do Poly & Contemporary one day and GF & WL another day. Plus we're staying at BWV so we'll probably walk over to BC at some point. And then we have a split stay at AKL. That should pretty much cover the best ones. :)

I received our first pin in the mail!!!! I just got off of the phone with a nice CM and I saved 30% off of my resort stay!! I've been hoping for one for weeks now. Now just 162 days to go! :cool1:

We are also going to be at Disney for Christmas 12/13 - 12/27 at ASMo celebrating our 10 year anniversary:lovestruc We have been to Disney lots of times, one time in the middle of December, but this will be our first time celebrating Christmas at Disney:cool1:
