December 2012 Code Watch

Do the dates ever differ when released to the GP? Wondering if the Dec 13 date on the pin offer's will go until the 15th?

I am figuring since I havn't received a code that I am prolly out of luck, but does anyone have any idea when maybe a promo will be released for late nov/early dec?

In 2010 and 2011 the GP free dining was announced late July and early August. The "book by" date for current pin code holders is 7/28. So if they are going to do a GP offer as everyone suspects then I would guess that it would be released no later than late July early August, with the possibility of earlier release.

That's what I am hoping for too!! :thumbsup2 I offered to fly down on the 13th so we could get checked in and DH and DB could use our current flights on the 15th, but DH didnt go for it. :rotfl:

I've been seeing that, but as of now I don't think Nov/Dec ADRs are open yet for CP packages at EPCOT, which is what I need to finalize all my ADRs for our Nov/Dec trip.

I booked Le Celliers without the CP package on Tuesday afternoon. My friend booked Coral Reef yesterday.....they are open. Not sure of CP

Just booked my FD pin for 12/10-14th at the AoA. I was able to get all of my choices for dining! Ohana, Whipering Canyon, Coral Reef, Kona Cafe. Woot Woot!

That is exactly the scenario that is going through my head! lol BUT, I didn't mention it to hubby because I am sure he would have the same reaction. If they don't extend, it will either be that or cancel.

Not necessarily. You can call Disney once a week to see if you have a pin code. That's what I did. I've been calling once a week and finally got one. Unfortunately, it's for a mere 10% off the room rate. On the brighter side, it expires on Saturday so I will be calling on Sunday to see if I have another pin code (hopefully for FD this time). A CM told me that it's not uncommon to get pin codes back to back.

I've also seen DISers posting that they have just received the FD pin code. So you never know. Call Disney to see if you have one. If not, you can call once a week to see if anything has changed.

Disney's Blog Update says, June 26, 2012, Candlelight Processional Package sales open.

Even thought this particular Disney Blog came out or posted on June 14th, 2012 by Jennifer Fickley-Baker. The update at the top of the blog seems to appeared this morning.

Here is the update quote:

UPDATE: Holidays Around the World Candlelight Dining packages will go on sale on Disneyworld.com on June 26.

And below is the link to the Disney Blog about the Epcot Candlelight Processional Package.

Here is the rest of the blog without the photo below.

If you’ve ever visited Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays, you can only imagine the planning that goes into creating the spectacular holiday offerings for each of our four parks. Our cast members are already hard at work planning every detail our guests will enjoy this holiday season – including lining up some wonderful celebrity talent for this year’s Candlelight Processional at Epcot.

If you’re not familiar, the Candlelight Processional is a beloved holiday offering at Epcot that combines seasonal music with a reading of scripture by a celebrity narrator. It will be performed nightly November 23 – December 30, at 5, 6:45 and 8:15 p.m.

I was just given permission to share a sneak peek at the list of celebrities who have already been confirmed to appear in this year’s show. This is only a partial list, so not all dates will be listed. I’ll update the list as additional narrators are confirmed. I’m happy to report that Neil Patrick Harris, a crowd favorite, is back. So is Gary Sinise, who’s a sort of honorary “cast member” for his appearance in the Mission: SPACE pre-show. And of course, new for this year is actress/singer Olivia Newton John.
  • Nov. 23–25: Isabella Rossellini (film/TV star and wildlife conversationalist)
Nov. 26–29: Neil Patrick Harris (Emmy Award-winner, Broadway star and TV host)
Nov. 30–Dec. 1: Whoopi Goldberg (television host, actress and comedian)
Dec. 11–13: Jodi Benson (singer and actress)
Dec. 14–16: Olivia Newton John (singer and actress)
Dec. 20–22: Trace Adkins (Award-Winning Country music artist)
Dec. 23–25: Gary Sinise (actor and musician)
Dec. 29–30: Marlee Matlin (Academy Award-winning actor and TV star)
*As always, narrators are subject to change.
Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for more narrator announcements.

There is also a poll for those that got their dining reservations at the four Epcot restaurants that have been on hold since November 23th at http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2945757

Yea...Today, June 20, 2012, 12pm, I was able to make the Four Epcot Disney Dining reservations online and by phone for one at the Epcot Le Cellier Steakhouse restaurant and Coral Reef restaurant and The Garden Grill restaurant and Rose and Crown Pub and Dining Restaurant.

Although, I was not able to find any Fort Wilderness Campgroung Trail's End Restuarant and dinner at 'Ohana. O'hana, I didn't try all nights.

I was posting another poll and thread about these regular dining reservations at the link below if you haven't seen it before.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2938804

Although my 180 Day regular Dining Reservations were unsuccessful at Epcot for December 4 to 13, 2012. I am so happy to get them today on June 20th.
Today, I was trying to make 193 day regular dining reservations at Epcot for any of my vacation days, and for any time, for lunch or dinner online.

I was able to make Epcot dining reservations on the park days that I planned for my vacation.

I tried for my vacation days from December 4, 2012 through December 13, 2012.

Le Cellier Steakhouse
Lunch:11:30AM-2:30PM(does not include Characters)
Dinner:3:30PM-9:00PM(does not include Characters)

Rose & Crown Pub & Dining
Lunch:12:00PM-2:30PM(does not include Characters)
Dinner:3:30PM-8:30PM(does not include Characters)

The Garden Grill Restaurant
Dinner:3:00PM-8:00PM(Includes Characters- Chip and Dale, Mickey Mouse, Pluto)

Coral Reef Restaurant
Lunch:11:30AM-3:00PM(does not include Characters)
Dinner:3:30PM-9:30PM

Fort Wilderness Campground Trail's End restaurant
Dinner:4:30PM-9:30PM(does not include Characters)

Polynesian Resort 'Ohana restaurant
Dinner:5:00PM-10:00PM(does not include Characters)

All of the Disney Castmembers on phone told me that they may not be loaded in the system until around June 23th with the Candlelight Processional Packages before these restaurants to be loaded into the computer for regular dining reservations.

This is the first year that I can ever recall in over a decade of going in December and making Dining Reservations of not being able to make a reservation because they said that they were not available because they were not loaded in the computer system because of the Candlelight Processional or for other reasons by various Diney Castmembers.

I am just curious...? How many people have already tried to make Epcot Dining Reservations since November 23, 2012 180 day point, and was unsuccessful or successful?

What date, day was your 180th date that you called and tried to make reservations?

What Restaurants did you try to make and was unsuccessful?

What Restaurants did you make and was successful?

I did set the poll so that you can chose multiple answers for each restaurant.
Good luck everyone.

What number are you calling to see if you have pin, just the general number?

Yes - general reservations line. Just be forewarned though - some are super nice and some are downright rude if you are calling about a discount possibility....

After calling once a week I finally got a 10% room rate pin code 3 weeks ago that expired yesterday. The CM told me to call back on the 24th as it is not uncommon to receive pin codes back to back to see if I had another one.

So fast forward to today (my birthday) and I call Disney hoping for some extra b-day pixiedust: for free dining. No such luck, but I do have "another pin code". The CM checks and its for the same exact offer that just expired yesterday only this one expires July 14  Looks like I'm gonna have to be patient and wait for the general public offer to come out .

Is this common for Disney to give the same offer right after it expires with a different expiration date?

So no CP December 2 - 10? Does that mean that the restaurants that participate in the CP dining package are open for ADR's?

No not at all. At the bottom they say more narrators will be added. The official DisneyParks.com website just didn't list the "to be announced narrators" with dates from December 2nd through 10th and December 17th-19th and December 26th-28th.

And "regular" dining reservations that were being held back for the four popular Epcot restaurants, called Le Cellier Steakhouse, Coral Reef, The Garden Grill and Rose and Crown Pub and Dining opened up last week on June 20th, 2012.

A lot of guests that wanted to make their 180 advance "regular" Dining Reservations couldn't make them until June 20th.

I wanted to make my 180 day reservations for my arrival on December 4th, 2012, but I had to wait 19 days until June 20th to make those reservation

This is my 1st year using a pin (30% that Im using for my August trip) I started looking into my first time EVER:love: Christmas:santa: surprise trip.

Heres my questions:
Im looking at the dates 12/24-27 staying at AoA. Can you use the pin at this resort or is it still resrticted because its new? Can I use my AAA discount here or is it restricted? Do they usually have pins for this week of the Christmas holiday?
