December 2012 Code Watch

Speaking of current pin codes, I saw a card from Disney Destinations in our mail today. I was so hoping it was for free dining. It wasn't and was for the 10% of the room rate. Here's where I had to laugh, it says inside to book by June 17th yet I only received it today . When I called Disney I was told that this offer is for the one that expires on June 23.

I've gotten three pin codes mailed to me in the last three days. One was the free dining offer that duplicated the email pin code I got back in May. The other two must be pin codes in response to my asking way back for vacation information because they start with "we're thrilled to hear you and your family want to come see us again!" I got two of them, with identical pin code #'s. As pin codes go its pretty lame, doesn't list specific deals, just states book this package and save 16%.

16%?

Not 15% or 20%, but 16%?

:cool1: We just received a pin for Free Dining!!! (to my DH) I received a 30% off pin in January. We have been booked with that, but had our TA run the numbers for free dining (it starts 2 days after we arrive) and we actually come ahead $350! So, we rebooked this morning! Now to figure out some more ADRs.....

:goodvibes PINS for everyone pixiedust:

Yep. In bold print it says "That's a savings of 16%!"

It's not actually a 16% off pin code, just whatever package they are bundling apparently results in a 16% discount. We have the free dining for the same period, so I haven't bothered to investigate it further.

That's not as bad as the mere 10% I have. NY state tax is in the 8% range, so 10% is a little over our tax. Not much of a savings.

We must have plenty of pixie dust. Wish I could spread it around.
Just received an e-mail (yet again in Hubby's spam) for free dining. Funny thing is we have already booked our stay with free dining via an e-mail he received (in the same email address) a month or so ago. They are obviously trying to bulk up their numbers. Hope they make it public for everyone.

Someone in my group recently got this offer in the mail. We want a longer stay though - probably 6 nights and days. With a longer trip can we still get the free dining plan? Would we be able to add park hopper? Thanks for helping the newbie!

yes, you can stay up to 14 nights for free dining... these are the dates you have to check in on, and then free dining for the remainder of nights applies

All these pin dates. Wondering if I need to adjust our dates some. We're booked for the 8th but all pins seem to begin on the 10th.

It's b/c of Pop Warner. They are there from December 1-8 but Disney is also including the 9th for some reason (unless Pop is there until the 9th).

Got a December pin in mail and when I called they said they could not bring up my code and I could not use it..wth??? anyone else??

I'd call back and get a different CM. You have the pin code number in front of you? They should be able to use it. I just got off the phone and switched resorts. I had a 20% that expired in May. She kept working until she got the system to take it for my new resort. She didnt act like it was a big deal when I asked, but then she had to try a couple times to get it to go through.

I've called twice and told that I have no codes....:crazy2:

I'm still debating. My DH really would prefer a Saturday to Saturday trip but we need FD, lol.

Last year Pop Warner was there December 3-10. At first the FD was for checkin on Sunday the 11th but they pushed it back to Saturday the 10th after a week or so. I was hoping they would do it the same way this year. :faint: :rolleyes2

We were originally booked dec 8-15 but this past weekend I called to change it dec 10-17, just in case I get a FD pin. I had the CM check to see if I happened to have a pin right now and sadly I did not.....she also checked 2 spellings of dh's name to see if he had one....no on all accounts. On the up side, I booked Le Cellier for a late lunch on 12/12, which is actually the day I want to book the CP package. So, just in case I can't get it for the CP, I'll at least be able to have lunch there during our trip!
