December 2012...Christmastime in WDW

I'll be there Dec 14-19th with my 2 grown DDs. I'll have a Disboards green Mickey head somewhere on my person, so say HI if you see us! This our FIRST time to see the Christmas decorations & first stay at the WL. I can hardly wait!!

We started planning our December 2012 trip in January 2011. We've visited twice since then and our small trip with three of us has turned into a large reunion of 20 people! The three of us ( DH, DD and mom) will arrive at fort wilderness with camper in tow on 12/21. The rest of the family arrives on 1/1/13 and is divided between cabins at FW, regular rooms at WL and a DVC villa at WL. Most of us leave on 1/6 with a couple staying a couple extra days. It was some crazy booking, but all is set. We've got ADRs for hoop de do and crystal palace for the entire group. We currently have Christmas dinner planned at Cindy's, but will change that if we can get into Be our Guest. We're also going to try some restaurants in resorts we haven't visited before since we'll have a vehicle and will no doubt get tired of the crowds in the parks. This is our third holiday stay at wdw, but first time staying through new years. We usually bug out 12/31 in the morning as the massive crowds are coming in so this will be a new experience.

Just booked for December. Actually, Nov. 29 - Dec. 7th. Saw free dining and jumped on board. We are staying at a pirate room at CBR for the first time. I consider POFQ our home away from home, but we couldn't get in. We also upgraded to DxDP. My other half thinks he needs to eat 24/7. He is also the one that begged to go this time around. He won't admit it, but he's just as addicted as I am. He loves the food and the mini golf courses and our DD6 and I love everything else.

ADR's are all booked (breakfast and dinner). Excited to try a few new places on our list! Just hoping we enjoy them!

Joining in, Hello everyone! We are doing split stay - December 16-19 at POFQ then switching over to AKV Kidani (rented points). Can't wait, never stayed at either resort before and it's a first for us - Mother/daughter only trip!

Doing my first mother/daughter only trip too, but it took me a "little" longer to get here--my daughters are 34 & 31! Our last 2 trips have been "Adults Only" with DH, DDs & their boyfriends. Adults only is a fun way to go. It is also our first time at Wilderness Lodge. We've only stayed ay the Poly up until now. I am beyond excited!

This will be our first ever holiday trip to WDW (staying at POR after the Dec. 22nd-29th Disney Fantasy Cruise) and I am looking forward to to seeing Port Orleans all dazzling in holiday finery. Will the parks still be decorated for the Very Mickey Christmas celebration 0n the 29th?

I don't think WDW (parks and resorts) start taking down decorations until after the last showing of the Osbourne Lights, which is Jan 6th. Also, the Candlelight Processional goes until Dec 30th (Marlee Matlin + Jack) in case you wanted to sneak 1 show of that in.

We always go the first week of dec crowds ate really low berthing is decorated mickeys vet merry and candlelight are going on its wonderful. Went once between Christmas and new years never ever do it again. It was a zoo.

Just booked our trip last night. We were there in May and also last December. And said we would wait until 2013 to do Christmas. But the Free Dining Came and also found A great deal on Air Fare So we will be there again Dec 11 to Dec 21st. We did the MVMCP last year and really enjoyed it
so we will be doing it again.

We are going Dec 23- Dec 29 staying at all star movies too! We have never been to Disney! Me DH DD11 DD5! We are so excited!

We will be staying at the Poly Dec 21 - 28th. We are all so excited to be in Disney on Christmas Day! We have been there twice while it has been decorated, just never Christmas Week.

I am also a little neverous about the crowds but since this is our
12th trip, we are not in a rush to see everything.

Now we just need to decide which park to go to on the 25th and where we want to eat Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Any suggestions would
be appreciated

This will be our first Christmas at the World 12/13 - 12/27 staying at ASMovies for two weeks and we are so excited We have all of our ADR's made and now we just sit and wait for either a pin or GP Free Dining to be announced

So have y'all stayed at all star movies before? I really haven't heard anything about this resort and we are staying there Dec 23-Dec 29! This is our very first ever trip to WDW

Had to change our trip from September to December. Now going December 3rd to December 8th. Will be booking Pop Century on Friday.

Thankfully we were able to change our MNSSHP tickets to MVMCP tickets.

Right now we haven't decided if we are going to do any TS restaurants. I have already checked for Le Cellier and no opening, so that one is out. The only other one would be Crystal Palace. or Hollywood & Vine.

Can't wait.

I am so excited for our trip, and it's still 106 days away. We have most of our ADRs, but I'm (compulsively) looking for a lunch slot at Le Cellier on the 18th.

It's funny: last year, I feel like my partner and I had our choices pretty much hammered out months in advance. However, this year, I keep second-guessing myself about our TS choices. Ha! I figure, if I get Le Cellier, I'll probably drop 50s Prime Time Cafe.
