So excited! Just booked using the 35% off code for POFQ for Dec 14-27. I cannot wait. I think this is the furthest out that I've booked. It's going to be a long year!

I have stayed at both the Poly and Cont. a few times each. Although I have never stayed at either over the holiday season, they are both great for so many reasons! They are both on the monorail and fun atmosphere! I like the ability to walk to/from MK to the Cont. But, prefer the tropical feel of the Poly. My kids liked the food much more at the Cont. and if you stay in the tower with a MK view - AMAZING. I would stay were you get the best deal/room! Enjoy, you won't regret it!

Awesome! POFQ is my favorite resort out of the few I've stayed at so far. We also booked our December trip, and you're right - this is gonna be a loooooong year. I just hit the 10 month mark for our check in and I'm already itching!

My 35% off for value/moderate and 40% for deluxe PIN is good for the following dates:

thankyou for posting! I did get the FDP the 1st week of Dec. in '09. Will have to go back & try to dig up to see if it was offered last year that time.

Oh good for you! Will you be at POFQ too? I've been alternating between being excited and frustrated at how far away it is. We've still got months before dining reservations! I made a ticker but that's kinda making it worse. DO I really need to know exactly how many days? lol

We will be going Dec. 11-18 and are currently booked at POP but if FD is announced we'll probably upgrade to CBR or POFQ.

I know its only February but I hate sitting here and watching the late summer people get there free dining. Let it alll out now so we can book our flights and move onto something more fun like shoveling snow

I know its only March and that February is over and that there is no snow (for now) but I still hate sitting here watching the late summer people get their free dining pin codes. What about us December People? Again, bring on the discounts, lets book our flights (before fuel and fares go crazy) and move onto somethng more fun like March Madness and Spring Training (and probably more snow)

Can anybody let me know why they skip the week in December for any sort of discount or free dining? I am going December 3-11 and the week previous and the week after have discounts but not this week. Is there something special going on this week that makes it a no go for discounts. Are there going to be large crowds or something and they are just not worried about people booking during this time.

I booked during this time because I heard it was a low crowd attendance.

Anybody with any help would be very much appreciated.

I was there for that week 3 yrs ago and my parents have been there for that week many times...to me it was pretty low in attendance...didn't have any issues with lines or buses...with lines, buses ect....we also have a trip planned for Dec2-11 and I can't wait....

I think attendance is still reasonable. NONE of the weeks in December are really LOW attendance any more, but I don't think that one is any worse than the others.

I think the only issue is if you happen to be staying at the same resort as them. In the past it has been the All-Stars and maybe one of the Port Orleans location. Large groups of enthusiastic kids........low adult to child ratio. That should tell you the issues. But if you're staying else where, you probably won't even know they are there.

Also be aware they shoot the Christmas parade in the MK the first weekend in Dec. It really jams up the MK those days, so you'd want to work around that.

While it's not high crowd season, I think you WILL see some differences over 3 years ago. Early December has gained popularity as a great time to go. But then there are very few true LOW crowd times left.

I noticed a difference the 3rd week of December in 2010 over the same week in 08.

A lot of course depends on what discounts they offer since those really drive the crowds.

We will be at Pop Dec 11-17. We used the 35% pin code. Since we don't use the dining plan anyway I would not use the free dining if it comes up.

So, yet again, what do I get in my email inbox today. Another PIN. A free dining pin but only if I stay between now & mid-August, so I can't use it. We can't go until December.
But the thing that has me concerned.......it offered regular free dining if staying at a Deluxe or a Villa only. For value &/or moderate stays, it was just the quick-service dining offered. I hope this doesn't mean that moderates will be getting quick-service now instead of the regular FD.

We surprised our kids at Christmas one year and went in January about three weeks later. I got a Phineas and Ferb poster from the Disney Store, wrote "We'll see you in Disney in three weeks!" (like P & F had signed it), cut it into puzzle pieces. I sent them on a scavenger hunt around the house (search online for clue ideas) and with each clue, there was another piece of the puzzle. When they had all the pieces, they put the poster together and figured out what it meant. TONS OF FUN!

We are thinking of going Dec 3-10 and were wanting to make it a surprise for our girls (9&7). This sounds like the best way to surprise them, for sure. Thank you for sharing!!

Even though it would not be "free" you could pay the difference and upgrade to reg free dining and still stay in a value or moderate. That would still be cheaper than paying for all of your food during your stay!

We too are waiting for the general public discount through dec. 2011. We had a pin code but had to secure it by Feb. 28 and we didn't have the money yet to commit to it. We want to surprise our boys of 8 and 14 that we will be going, hopefully leaving Dec. 15 and driving from Michigan. The pin code was really good but just couldn't do it that soon.
