December 2011 Code Watch!

I am beginning to explore the boards and saw this thread for travel in Dec 11!!! We are about to put our deposit down and get the planning under way! Any comments/suggestions for resort to stay at for 5? We are thinking ASMov, but have seen a lot of comments about POR... I like the 2 bathrooms at the ASMov family suite, but would like input!

We actually chose to stay at POR over ASMov when there was 5 of us. For us, there was a greater discount at POR (cause it is a mod) and it was thus cheaper. The room itself was a tad on the small side for all 5 of us. With two large teen boys...I felt like we were pretty cramped.

Just booked a 2BR at VWL for the week before xmas (12/17-12/24) for about $440/night. The last night is not included on the discount so may cut that night off.

Was hoping for a 2BR at BLT but was so psyched to get this!

We have NEVER booked a trip this far in adacne and have NEVER gone not in a value season. This should be awesome (and a bit more crowded

If you have this pin, you should just keep trying for what you want because things can not available 1 second and available to next!

Has anyone outside of the US ever gotten a PIN? We've booked with a specialist disney travel agent as I know they will get us any public discounts that come up without us having to worry about seeing them, but wondered if there would ever be a chance of a pin against our names? I've registered for DVD, had quotes online but always through an Australian link through to the WDW site We are going Dec 18-23 and sounds like PINs are out there.......

I can tell you that Canadians do get PINs as well
Booked our December trip with my PIN a couple of weeks ago and got one last year as well
Don't despair, there's hope for us, foreigners!
We are going Dec 11-18 and I checked today for the fun of it and I can tell you that there are no more family suites at ASMu at this rate right now. Don't think Disney will give a FD for this period, as many hope and pray for (including me since FD is a better deal for us), since the PIN offers are working so far...
Still hoping though...

Ugh, I never get emails with pins but wouldn't you know it, log into my email a few days ago, got a 35% pin....but not for our dates.....Right before & right after....doesn't that figure!

Ah well, still hoping for FD!

I emailed Disney last week and asked if we had a code attached to our name. It took over a week but they did reply and what do you know we did have one. I sent it along to our TA and we were able to use it for our stay from Dec 18th-Dec 23rd. We are staying at ASMov but it still saved us $187. I'll take it!

Very nice! I got a PIN as well used it to book mine and my parents room. Saved about $115 dollars. I will take it to use to buy things in the park

we got a pin code as well that covers certain dates through the year with the latest being the 24th of december so we were able to save 35% (value and moderates, 40% deluxe) for a room only discount. we've booked pofq but we had to book before the end of february. so we're doing the happy dance for the next 287 days lol. it basically had all the off season dates from now until the end of the year but i had noticed that the 2 weeks after thanksgiving that use to be value season are now designated "fall season" with the rack rate running about 10$ more per night for the moderates anyway. call and check if there's a pin code attached to your name...it happens and people don't even know they have them. otherwise i'm sure you'll see discounts for december come out after they're done pushing summer and early fall (thru oct dates).

I know its only February but I hate sitting here and watching the late summer people get there free dining. Let it alll out now so we can book our flights and move onto something more fun like shoveling snow

I totally agree I am hoping that we hear really really soon about the "Public Discounts" for Dec Afterall its only 44 weeks till Christmas

I am a subscribing to the Dec 2011 code watch. Please oh please release free dining. We have the 35% off pin. We are staying at All Star Music and QSDP and 7 day base ticket for party of six for grand total of $3683.40 sound like a good price I hope but thinks the dining code would save us more in the end

You have to pay full rack rate for your room to get free dining, so I highly doubt it.

No, you won't be able to use a pin code or get free dining with a reservation through anywhere besides disney (or a travel agent who will then go through disney)

I am joining! December 16th-23rd. DH and I will be bringing DD21, DGD11 x 2, DGS 11. Staying at POP on a PIN code for 35% off room rate but am hoping for some pixie dust that sends free dining our way! SOOOOOO excited and loving all the planning till it happens!

Got a pin for Nov. 13-19. It is for 40% off room only. This is for the Poly. I had a reservation for the Contemporary for Dec. 5-11 with no discount. This will save me almost $1,000.00. Which resort would you choose and which week? Is it worth the extra money for December and the Cont. over the Poly in Nov.? I have been to WDW a lot of times during the Christmas season. I also am wondering, if free dining is offered and you already have a discount on your room, can you still get free dining?
